WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com
The Democratic Leadership Council will be meeting in Denver this weekend: The Democratic Leadership Council will hold a "national conversation" July 22-24 at the Hyatt Regency Denver. Speakers will include Sens. Hillary Clinton, of New York, and Evan Bayh, of Indiana, and Govs. Janet Napolitano, of Arizona, and Bill Richardson, of New Mexico. All have been mentioned as possible candidates for president. Many of Colorado's top Democratic politicians will attend, including Sen. Ken Salazar; Reps. Mark Udall and John Salazar; Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper; and state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff. And, of course, it gives Colorado Democrats another opportunity to promote their bid to host the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Denver is the only city left who's been faithful to the DNC and not tryed to score points with Republicans by bidding for their convention. The DLC coming to Denver also indicates a strong support from the Dean n' Clinton gang; the guys you want on your team. Matt, what's your favorite John Denver song? I hope you like "Rocky Mountain High"!
Now that New Orleans is out, and we're down to 3 cities to select from- I'm really hoping Denver gets the '08 Convention!
Enjoy yourselves there DLC Democrats.
DLC.. DNC.. I'm just proud to be a DEMOCRAT! :-)

My favorite John Denver song is "Leaving on a Jet Plane", which I didn't even know he wrote until a few minutes ago. "RMH" is a great song, but I try not to play favorites with songs or convention cities on this blog!
That's very fair of you, Matt. I'm really backing Denver for the 2008 DNC all the way. America needs a Democrat in the White House, and Denver is the city that can deliver our nominee to the District of Columbia. Also; I love "Rocky Mountain High"! John Denver rocks. Go Denver!
i dont see why bidding for the republican convention would preclude being faithful to the democrats. if thats our mayor hick's logic then we shouldn't get to host the convention
