Happy New Year! We're finally in an election year.

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

It's hard to believe we've finally reached the year we'll be voting for the successor of George W. Bush. The primary race officially starts tomorrow in Iowa with both Democratic and Republican caucuses.

A caucus is a completely different beast from the primary voting most people are used to. The best overview of what will happen tomorrow in Iowa comes from the John Edwards campaign.

Sure it's corny but it's a good video to watch if you're clueless about caucuses.

CQPolitics has a good Iowa Caucus FAQ that's worth a look too.
