Over 84,000 in Invesco

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

More than 84,000 people have jammed into Invesco Field at Mile High stadium to hear Barack Obama's historic acceptance speech, city officials say.

Nancy Kuhn of Denver's public works department says the figure is based on the number of credentials that were scanned as delegates, individuals and news media entered the football stadium where Obama was accepting the Democratic presidential nomination Thursday night.

The stadium normally holds 76,125 people, but additional seats were placed on the football field where the Denver Broncos play. - AP

Kinda eerie, the republicans were asking foks to pray for rain at the stadium tonight, but now it looks like a hurricane is headed for New Orleans for the first day of the GOP convention.

Well first McCain put out those Obama bashing ads with Moses parting the red sea - then those people were praying for rain to ruin Obama's Denver speech. That other storm headed into New Orleans a couple of weeks ago and McCain had to cancel his stump speech on the oil rig, and now the GOP convention might be delayed ------ what goes around comes around! Seems like every time someone slings mud at Obama it ends up on the face of McCain and the GOP :)
