This is wrong

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

McCain was scheduled to deliver his acceptance speech Thursday but now may do so from the devastation zone if the storm hits the U.S. coast with the ferocity feared by forecasters. - Politico
If he wants to do a photo-op tomorrow in Mississippi, fine. Maybe he can go visit Trent Lott's house. But to give his acceptance speech from an area hit by the storm? Surely his advisers are smarter than this. (But then they let him pick Palin). Not to mention how inappropriate it would be. It's just wrong.

Speaking of a photo-op Obama had a great day at his rally today.
Here's a link with tons of photos:

I love this quote from an unnamed Republican in the article: “We’ll have to acknowledge that Americans are hurting,” Yeah, it takes a category 4 hurricaine for the Republicans to be FORCED to acknowledge that Americans are hurting.

Would McCain really make a speech from a devastation zone? Good god. Because, you know, the best way to help storm victims is to inundate the affected areas with Secret Service personnel, a media throng, and traffic tie-ups.

Instead of just words .... the republicans should have found a way to helicopter water in to those people stranded on bridges during Katrina and other stuff like that.
Those people down on the coast don't need people showing up to give speeches and get photo-ops and pander for votes.

I think it is terribly wrong for McCain to even THINK of giving a speech in a disaster area. They don't need him in the way of the rescue workers and helpers. And America doesn't need him pandering for votes by using people that are going through a devastating time in their lives. I find even the thought of the idea despicable. I hope that they won't let him in after the evacuation.

This indecision on McCain to postpone the convention is the same type of Bush response when Katrina hit the area. It will literally take weeks after this hurricane hits for any sense of normalcy will occur in Louisana, Mississippi, Texas due to the setup of evacuees and rescue of the people that did not leave the area. If McCain was really concened about the middle class people he would have made the sensitive decision to cancel. Just more of the same slow decision processing. Palin will be his downfall as people will see that experience in a V.P. is very critical will the complicated economy, politics going on in this world. Other than being a woman what will she offer to McCain? How to run a large government-no, How to manage foreign affairs-no, oh, but of course she put it in her own words "what does the vice president do"?
