And please be excellent to one another. We do not accept name calling or any attacks on our commenters. Any objectionable comments will be deleted. Try to be civil.

We're going to start using our new commenting system with this one.

Oreo, this is another one where I can sign in with any name I want. I still like the old system better, where I know who I'm talking to. I'm not a big fan of completely unverified comments. Not that my opinion really matters, but I thought I would state it anyways.

Thanks pissed... we have a little more control with this system even though it does let you go anonymous. They may change it so anonymous posters can't post.

Just changed comments to require signing up with IntenseDebate. We may need to do some tweaking but it should help to keep people from impersonating others.

Outstanding. Thanks Oreo.

The new comment system is great. Thanks Oreo.

On another note, it seems Sen. McCain has bought $6 million in ads on NBC. Do you think he'll continue to go negative and risk backlash for spoiling the love-fest that is the Olympics?

After seeing Brian Williams come up with a story about war, crimes, etc for each country in the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics I don't think it will be too out of place.

Thanks,
I am sure my e-mails were getting a bit bothersome.

The only bad thing with the new format is that the Open Thread is a very busy thread and it knocks off all of the other comments on the right side of the page in the Newest Comments section. Do ya'll have an option to omit the open thread from that section?

No comments on McSogyny offering up his wife topless to the biker-boys? If Obama had done this, the race would be over. Judgment, folks. McSame lacks it.

Wonder when McCain will realize that we can't drill immediately, that it takes ten or more years from putting leases up for bid to get enough oil to matter.

New AP/IPSOS poll out -- shows Obama up by 6% among all voters, even more among those who plan on voting. Running neck and neck among men and leading in most other demographics.

Goes to show why polls of polls matter more than one single poll. If you combine the polls together, they seem to indicate that Obama is probably leading by 2-4%.

How do I get a pic instead of a gray box next to my name?
Reply
soft,
Right click on your name and open in new window. That will take you to your profile, and then click edit profile. On the right is an area for an avatar which you can upload from your computer.

Oh, and I posted a link to the Huff Post article about McCain's statement, and it has some fairly graphic videos of previous contests. They are youtube videos, but I still wouldn't let my children view it (if I were a parent).

Why couldn't Bill just say, "yes" and move on?

Obama never did anything to him. If he wants to blame someone, BLAME ME. Heck, I talked about him like a dog. I said that he should go to Greenland and let HRC run her own campaign.

Why take it out on someone who did you no harm?

From Time.com

McCain displays his normal “discipline” at a Tuesday tele-town meeting, undermining days of (questionable, desperate, and — apparently — effective) attacks by his campaign and the whole Republican Party on Obama’s call for tire inflation to save fuel.

McCain: “And could I mention that Senator Obama a couple of days ago said that we ought to all inflate our tires, and I don’t disagree with that. The American Automobile Association strongly recommends it.”
------------------------------------------------------------------

Unbelievable! Has McCain truly lost his mind? I think he should be checked for Alzheimers!
