No doubt you've all read about interesting things taking place around Denver already. This weekend has seen protests, receptions with elected officials and of course parties. Today starts the panel discussions, issue forums and grassroots trainings. But enough with the "hard news" already, here are a few trivial sights from the ground.
To the left is a snapshot of fuzzy Pez dispensers, Republicans and Democrats. Notice how many more donkeys than elephants. Hmm...
Senator Obama has officially hit rock start status as right after the "Arnold Palmer" on the menu is a "Obama Pama" rum drink. It's a tropical drink - maybe a nod to his Hawaiian roots.
And finally, a set of custom-made Obama earrings spotted at the Host Committee Welcome Reception on Sunday night.
