I have 3 Roombas. It is a pain to clean every few days but worth it to keep my floors clean of hair/fur from my 3 little dogs. I never realized how dirty my floors got every single day until I started using this thing. I just wish they could navigate stairs and furniture.

Mike-in-GA said...

Beryl - they do navigate stairs - but only once - hehehehe! Unless mount heavy duty bumper rails! The volume of traffic is way down the last few days. Must be Thanksgiving Day hangover I guess. Hope you all had a safe and happy Thanksgiving and don't spend all your money on Black Friday.

Beryl said...

I didn't spend a single cent on Black Friday. There is a reason that my FICO score was over 800 (before the credit crunch which reduced everyone's limit).

Just paid one of my sister's bills and plan to count that as a Christmas gift.

Independent Voter said...

Beryl, we are with you. Except that we don't do Christmas per se. We always have a football party instead of a "gift exchange". Bill and I don't really care for football, but most of our friends do, so that is our Christmas. We usually end up spending about $200 total for Christmas. Of course I do all the cooking while he does mot of the hosting.

Hi guys - I'm kind of glad I live in the country here in Georgia. I can't imagine how shoppers can get so out of control like in NY. They trampled a man to death. When the management told the customers the store was closing they said "we've been standing in line since Thursday morning" and continued to shop. One witness called them "savages" and thier actions sure seem to back it up. I'll stick to shopping online during Black Friday. Hope you all had a good turkey day.

Independent Voter said...

Suzi, I remember reading something about that too, and I'm really disgusted because all that does is leave millions of Africans high and dry, and out to fend for themselves. I understand that we are experiencing a global recession but somethings should just be off limits to funding cuts.

-

Mike, as I've stated before, I'm totally non-religious, but how this event became so damn commercialized is beyond me. It makes me sick to know that people care so little for their fellow man that trampling others to death (NY), and nearly causing a woman to miscarry (also trampled in NY), 2 people dead in CA (Palm Desert) from gunfire IN A TOY STORE of all places. It's just gut-wrenching.

I have 2 solutions.

1) Decommercialize the holiday, completely.

and if 1 fails

2) Go ahead and open the doors at 5 AM, but not make the sale prices go into effect until 1 PM or even later. This way there would be no need for hundreds of people to show up at 10PM the night before.

First they said they had arrested a couple of terrorists the first day or so - now they say there is only ONE that they captured.

First they said that the two top guys that were the head of anti-terrorism department were killed in the aftermath of the violence - now they say that they were targeted by the terrorists.

And why are all the top officials now resigning?

Also they said that for two weeks security was increased because of threats and then it was downgraded right before the attacks.

Something doesn't seem right.

Leah - on the India news......

I can explain the difference in just a couple words: News Media!

They are always rushing to get the story first. Once one person states something (right or wrong), it gets repeated by other organizations whethter it is wrong or right.

I think the 40 sounds correct. The 10 number were the number of targets hit if I remember correctly. There are also conflicting stories because there weer some that came in by the stolen boat, and there were others already in place on the ground. They had been planning and staging this attack for months.

On the decreased security, and then it happening, with them having people on the ground, they may have delayed the attack when they saw the security measures increased. Then when they were relaxed, they would have green lighted the operation.

So easy to slip back into that military operations mentality of mine. ;o)

I would not worry about the facial tic. Over the years I have had several instances of an eye tic. They just go away after awhile. And they haven't even been at times of a lot of stress.

As to stress, with all Obama has been thru with the long primary (thanks, Hillary) and then the general and then the problems the country faces, I think it is amazing he has not stressed out more.

I hope Michelle is not distraught. It's not like this is fatal or something.

He has shown good sense during the campaign is getting some rest from time to time, and I think they have a trip to Hawaii planned this month, partly for a service for his grandmom, so that may give him some down time.

. . . why are all the top officials now resigning?

In most parliamentary-type governments (as is the case in India), it is customary, and actually expected, that the people who head departments that have some type of major failure will resign and accept at least some of the blame for that failure.

If that same philosophy held in the US, I'm sure that every person who was part of Shrub's cabinet and head of every other major agency would have resigned, or failing that, been publicly fired (if anyone but Shrub had been President).

Also they said that for two weeks security was increased because of threats and then it was downgraded right before the attacks.

CNN reported that the Taj hotel had received warnings, and had put up metal detectors at the front entrance. It also was inspecting all luggage for a while. The hotel historically restricted the guests to entering only by that front entrance.

Apparently (conflicting reports), the hotel got some info (no one is saying from where) that the warning was incorrect and/or the precautions it was taking was making it almost impossible to carry on the function of a working hotel, so the metal detectors were taken down and the luggage searches were halted.

However, even if the precautions had been in place last week, reports say that they probably wouldn't have stopped the attack on the hotel, as the attacker(s) apparently came in through other hotel entrances, those used by employees, not hotel guests.

I haven't heard what security measures were or were not in place at the employee entrances - always locked and key or security card or code needed? Security guard? Always open, with no security?

Hey guys, still very busy, so this is going to be my only post for a few days, but I do come in and read most of the comments.

I have been thinking about Hillary being SoS. Yes, I think she will do a great job. But I am really curious about something, and it should make anyone pause and at least think about it(even though at this point it is simply conspiracy on my part).

I have the feeling that Obama really would have liked Hillary to be his running-mate. HOWEVER, I also think that he felt he HAD to be pragmatic about his decision when it came to his base of supporters. So close to the convention so many of us were still really upset from the primary. So what my thought is that he felt that he would lose much of his base had he chosen her (no I would not have abandoned him because I think they would make a great team), and he simply couldn't risk that. We know how upset many of his supporters were when he voted in favor of the FISA bill, could you imagine how much of his base would have felt abandoned had he picked her (at the time). Remember, Biden's speech? People were still booing her, which I believe was VERY disrespectful. Now that the primary and the general election's are over, he has found a top spot for her in his administration.

And in MANY respects we ALL know that SoS is much more powerful a position than the VP slot.

Therefore, this is a HUGE win for her, IMHO.

Anyway, I know, it's a conspiratorial sort of way of thinking about it, but in some ways, to me at least, it makes sense.

Ok, gotta run, VERY busy night tonight and day tomorrow.....wish me luck, I've done what I can on my end to get this Prop 8 Walkout/Protest for tomorrow. I'm truly hoping it is successful because I am the ONLY organizer of the event. I couldn't even get the LGBT Resource Center on campus involved because they are funded by the University. I'll let you guys know on Wednesday how it went.

Take care, all! See you again soon.

Karen Anne said...

iv,

Maybe about Clinton. I do feel for Biden a little, because it looked like he was going to be the foreign policy guru. But reportedly he and Clinton are good friends, so maybe something will be worked out. I don't want him to be sitting around with nothing to do, feeling useless.

I am not that upset about her being chosen, except I do worry about the Palestinians, given her very rightwing stance, and there's always Bill, who apparently made a graceless statement about her being chosen. Plus I have to wonder about her when she's under pressure, ex the Bosnia stuff.

Karen Anne said...

iv, p.s. good luck with the protest.

A poll shows 71 percent of Americans approve of Barack Obama picking Hillary Clinton for secretary of state.

Seventy-five percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey approve of Obama's Cabinet choices, with 22 percent disapproving.

That's 16 points higher than those in favor of then President-elect Bush's Cabinet picks eight years ago.

The poll indicates that 71 percent approve of Obama picking Sen. Hillary Clinton for secretary of state. Democrats overwhelmingly approve of the choice, with two-thirds of independents agreeing and Republicans evenly split on the pick.

Aunt Jean,

Can you P L E A S E give it a rest?

We KNOW you do not like Richardson, but not everything posted about possible problems that President-elect Obama and SoS-nominee Clinton (or any other politician) are knocks on the subject of the post. They are sometimes comments about what other people are reporting.

I remember in July, 1972, when the Watergate break-in was first reported. I was attending college at the time, and several of my friends and I discussed that it could be a problem for Tricky Dick - we just didn't realize how MUCH of a problem. Following the initial reports, for weeks at a time there were no reports, then a scattering of reports, a trickle, and then a flood of reports, but eventually the break-in was part of the downfall of Tricky Dick. It took more than 2 years, but eventually the break-in caused him problems.

If the press had taken your advice of "drop it - it's eight days old" when reporting the Watergate break-in, there would have been no President Ford, and President Carter might not have been elected but some other Rethug - maybe Ronnie Raygun in 1976, not in 1980. Or, the Rethugs might have tried to amend the Constitution to repeal Amendment XXII that limited the President to two terms, and we might have been stuck with Tricky Dick for several more years.

BTW - the so-called Richardson 'stabbing the Clintons in the back' incident was in February. With that, we're now discussing 10 MONTHS, not 8 days.

We can agree to disagree and discuss things on, as someone or other would say, an edifying plane :-)

Ok, has it been long enough? Would it cause trouble? A lot of politicians lie. A lot of politicians have affairs.

Have you guessed that I'm talking about John Edwards?

I think he would be a good nominee for the HUD seat, but not sure the Dems have forgiven him like his Wife already did.

Can't we move on and let someone that wants to work poverty issues do what they are passionate about?

Putting Edwards on the list might cause Obama problems. Myself I think he should for the simple fact he's so passionate about poverty issues but there is a lot of people that will not forgive. I see it everyday.

One thing about the Obama Cabinet so far. I think he has been going after the best people, regardless of what people think or say about different people. I wouldn't have made some of the appointments that he has, but in restrospect (even before they really start) I think he has done an Outstanding job filling out the cabinet.

I don't mind being corrected when I am wrong but I do when I am correct - headlines do change after a ten hour period.

We can disagree about issues but facts are facts ;)

In reference to the HRC salary and constitution thing.
All she has to do is accept a lower salary and several other options are also available.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/12/04/clinton.eligible/index.html

It has been dealt with before and will be dealt with again.

I am now going to give some dishwasher info that I did not know that can be helpful.
My dishwasher, too much money, had to be fixed under warranty.
1. They say there is a disposal and not really. Always scrap ALL food off plates especially lettuce, rice and corn. It will clog the pump.
2. Use DISHWASHER MAGIC, found at most Homedepots and Lowes, every 3 months. It's main ingredient is Citrus which will clean out the built up calcium etc. so the sprayers will not get clogged.
3. YOU can clean out the pump which is at the bottom of the dishwasher by undoing several screws and all you do is empty it and scrub it. NOW the pump works.
4. My dishwasher only uses 1.6liters of water to wash the dishes and it does save ALOT of water.
5. Running your dishwasher with white vinegar should be done every two weeks BUT does not replace using Dishwasher Magic which gets rid of the hard minerals or calcium deposits in your dishwasher. These deposits plug the holes, which are smaller to save water, and you want the thing to work.
6. Older dishwashers had larger holes so there were not as many problems before and they did not save water.

I know some people will think this is minor information.
A total of 11 hours on different days and appointments and waiting for parts made this important to me.
Why waste the time.
To fix a dishwasher in labor alone is approximately $150.
Dishwasher Magic is $5.

Thanks for the info. I replaced an old dishwasher a few months ago, so this is handy to know.

Another household tip :-) to prevent drains from clogging and rescue ones that aren't too clogged, run Hot water in to fill up the whatchacallit (trap?) under the sink. Then pour in a cup of bleach and let sit for two hours. Flush with more Hot water. Cross fingers, this has worked every time, and I have a long history of failing with commercial drain opening products.

Now does someone know how to prevent or remove the black spots (mildew?) on the top of the clothes washer tub that are just out of reach?

Karen Anne said...

jean,

How much vinegar do you use in step 5? You just pour it in and run a regular cycle?

(People not responsible for housecleaning should avert their eyes from the following):
Does anyone know how to unclog calcium deposits form the holes water comes thru in a toilet? I had plumbers out who said I had to replace the entire toilet, but since it's a seldom used one upstairs, I said no thanks.

Get Spray Clorox up cleaner with bleach.
Do it morning and night for a week for the super hard spots and then scrape and paint with mold resistant paint from the paint store.:)

not much .

Fill the regular dispensors for wash and prewash and just 1/2 a cup you throw in the bottom before you close the door.

In reference to the toilet just replace it.
It only costs $100 for the toilet and the chemicals alone to clean it, never mind the time, is not worth it.
The chemical I use is CLR, actually that is the brand.
Calcium, Rust and Lime. $20 a gallon and you would need several.
The thought of how much time it would take makes me want to go on vacation.

I really don't think CLR is very good. I've never had luck with it. The best thing to do about the toliet is to put vinegar pass the water hole and let it set for a couple of days. Then take a small wire brush and stick in the hole as far as you can. As far as the mildew on the washing machine take a spray bottle of clorex brand bleach and spray leave on for a few minutes then take a spray bottle of clean water and spray again real good. AJ

In the 2008 general election there were around 131 million ballots cast. Obama got over 69 million of them.

I understand that HRC received 17 million in the primaries, but she will have to have much more support than that the next go round. It will all depend on what happens during the next eight years. She will be 68(?)years old in 2016 and might not be up to running by then.

jean said...

Leah,
The option is there for HRC to run,
she also said she would not.
I know I would like it and 68 is not old for a woman compared to a man. Yes things could change, I still think she is a wise choice.

Do YOU think this has not been thought out by Obama?

Aunt Jean,

The main reason I brought up that this was being discussed on Countdown is because you stated that ALL reporting of this was 'days ago'.

No.

It is being discussed at various Internet sites, newspapers and news channels (and not just on Faux News) on an almost daily basis, or even more often.

Further, the only reason that we have the 'Saxbe solution' is because no one has gone to court to challenge it. As long as the Supreme Court makes no decision (or remains silent), the ONLY thing that can be stated with authority is that the Supreme Court has made no decision on whether the 'Saxbe solution' passes Constitutional muster.

I made a couple of errors in my previous posting:

1. The discussion between Keith and Professor Turley was the second segment (not the first) of Thursday's Countdown (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677); and

2. Professor Turley is pessimistic that IF a case is brought that the Supreme Court would rule the 'Saxbe solution' is Constitutional. In other words, if a case is brought, the USSC would rule AGAINST Hillary serving as SoS. However, Professor Turley also stated that he didn't think anyone would actually bring a case, thus (if no case) there would not be a Supreme Court ruling, and Hillary would serve as SoS.

I received an email from Obama team (author was actually Joe Biden) telling me that as I am one of the donors throughout the Obama election, would I please donate some money towards retiring Hillary’s campaign debt. The email reminded me that she did over 70 events for Obama during the general election and that “Her undeniable intellect, talent, and passion strengthened Barack as a candidate and tested our movement for change.”

I am unmoved. I will not donate one penny to her campaign debt that she used to savage Obama. I am even upset that she has been chosen for SOS, bypassing more deserving people like Bill Richardson or Kerry. It seems to me that only the enemies are being rewarded while friends like Dr. Dean etc are left out. I am still not even sure what role Dave Plouffe has (I suspect that he is the campaign manager for Obama for America 2012, which was already announced by Obama on November 4th if you paid attention to his words election night).

I hope that Impeachment-is-off-the-table Pelosi does not thwart the Constitutional prohibition preventing Hillary from serving as SOS.

Beryl said...

Wow, you are not a Hillary-fan. LOL!

I got that email too, gagged a little, and then archived it. I remember her campaign manager saying that we should not think about that debt anymore -- it will be taken care of. I believed him and not thinking about her debt.

HRC will be a terrific SoS and they will resolve that minor issue around the raise. She will probably just not take the raise -- it is less than $10K, I think.

Joshua said...

No, I am not one of Hillary’s fans. I do not believe in not holding people accountable for their words and actions. I am concerned that allies like Claire McCaskill, and Jennifer Granholm, etc don’t have a role in the administration yet. Of course I don’t want cronyism, but I think those are good quality people who can contribute. I understand about not taking people out of the Senate, etc. But if any senator deserves to serve in the Obama cabinet, it should be Claire, not Hillary.

Joshua said...

1. Hillary not taking the raise does not correct the Constitutional issue raised. It only attempts to circumvent it.

2. If she is paid less than other cabinet secretaries, will I be hearing next about how women are paid less than men for the same job?

Beryl said...

Joshua - The intent of the law is to avoid conflict of interest. An official should not not be able to give themselves a raise.

Also, I am not concerned about HRC making less than male counterparts since it has been a while since a man was a SoS anyway.

Joshua said...

Article I, section 6 of the Constitution provides "No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office."

That is quite simple and plain. It says nothing about not taking the pay raise. It says that you can’t do it, period.

Your argument is the same as saying: if you are caught stealing a merchandize from a store, then if you return the item you did not committed a crime.

Joshua said...

One cannot un-ring a bell. The pay for the Cabinet was increased during HRC’s term in Congress. She cannot take a job as a member of the Cabinet as there is no way to go back and un-raise the pay for Cabinet secretaries. If she proceeds to serve as SOS, then I shall be disappointed in Obama, a Constitutional Law professor. We have had 8 years of a president who used the Constitution as a door-mat. My support for Obama has two cornerstones: judgment to see that the Iraq war was a “dumb” war when others thought that it was a good idea; his understanding of the Constitution and his pain at Bush trashing it. HRC serving as SOS undermines both for me.

I am not a Hillary fan, but she worked her butt off for Obama once he became the candidate. Yes, she has defects, but I don't think they'll interfere with her work as SoS, except I am a bit worried about her management skills. Presumably Obama's people are on that and will compensate for it.

I haven't donated to her campaign. She and Bill have a giant ton of money, let them pay their own debts.

I don't think the Constitutional problem will fly, since two other SoSs have served, with reduced salaries, regardless of it.

It actually gives me positive chills to see her standing among those who will serve in Obama's administration. He really has selected an "A-Team".

Even with us being on the brink of the 2nd Great Depression, this time in US politics is a wonderful time to be alive and engaged.

What do you all think about the possibility of Caroline taking HRC's Senate seat? Two Kennedys on the Hill with Teddy still struggling health-wise gets me all misty.

---------

On a side note, yes I have been busy and extremely vindictive. I'm working with Join the Impact, as well as some other organizations to get the word out of an idea that I had.

And when I say vindictive, I mean vindictive. Ok, nothing harmful to anyone, but I still think it is a great idea (and a lot of people are taking part in it.

So here is the idea that I had and have already done. I wrote a misleading letters to the LDS church in Salt Lake City as well as Focus on the Family. And I requested information from them. The ONLY reason is because I know that they would send those beg-a-thon letters. You know the ones. The ones where they send a request for donations with those "No Postage Necessary" envelopes. That is what I was after, the envelopes.

So now the fun and vindictive part. What we are doing is writing letters to send back to them (without any identifying information....including no return address). So what we are doing is putting MUD in a bag, and then putting it in a box, and then lying the letter on top of the bag of mud inside the box. The letter basically tells them that they are receiving the mud for their next mud-slinging campaign against gays. And then we attach the "No Postage Necessary" envelope on the outside of the box.

Why are we doing this? Well since they were the major donors to the Yes on 8 campaign, and they want to retain their tax-exempt status, this is our way of keeping people employed, and keeping our postage costs down, while at the same time reducing their warchest with every box. They pay about $.25 per ounce. When we return these boxes they have to pay for it because we don't leave a return address or name. They end up paying about $25 for each box. :)

You all never knew I could be such a vindictive bitch did ya?

Joshua said...

I’d be very careful. You may be committing several federal offenses. Disclosing such here may not be wise.

Apparently we had an earthquake tonight, but we didn't feel anything.

How about you Jean?

Joshua, Everyone has been exposed to mud at some point throughout their lifetime. Ask AJ. She does a lot of digging in her yard. If there is anthrax present it obviously isn't enough to be harmful, I'm still here.

Second, as I stated before, I cleared it with the USPS. If they believed that there was a problem they would have refused it.

Thanks for your concern.

Plouffe is going to be busy for a bit writing his book - tentatively titled “The Audacity to Win.”

Plouffe, who has not yet written the book, plans to meet with publishers in coming weeks. The book will likely be published in the fall of 2009.

Plouffe – a father of two, including a newborn — has also signed on with the Washington Speakers Bureau to give paid speeches around the world. He also plans to do some non-governmental private consulting.

I would appreciate it very much if you would take your bias bull somewhere else. Hillary is better than any of those people that you mention for SOS.And Obama think so also! If you don't want to give any money to pay off her debt fine but don't insult her she doesn't deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

One more thing it was not her fault that most of the things that she said the media made a mountain out of a molehill. Get my drift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AJ

are you a male chauvinist with this quote sure sounds like it:

2. If she is paid less than other cabinet secretaries, will I be hearing next about how women are paid less than men for the same job?

Thats not very nice!!!!!! AJ

I don't know what your problem other the fact that you dislike Hillary. She DOES NOT think the war was a good idea. The only reason she voted for it was the info that was given to her and everybody else that he had weapons of mass destruction. She DID NOT WANT THE WAR!!!!!! OPEN YOUR EARS~~~AJ

Dave - I too would caution you about playing with stuff going through the USPS. You may have asked someone at the post office, but trust me - no government or quasi-government agency is ever going to admit they cleared it for you unless you were able to get them to document it in writing. When you start manipulating a pre-paid postage label (s) - it could get postal inspectors involved because technically this could be considered fraud. I just don't want to see someone I consider a friend get slammed over something like this - it is not worth it. There are much better ways than vindictiveness to forward your cause.

what exactly do you mean by this:That I get a lot of mud thrown at me or that I have thrown a lot of mud?

Everyone has been exposed to mud at some point throughout their lifetime. Ask AJ. She does a lot of digging in her yard. AJ

Mike, there is no doubt that IV has already admitted to fraud. On several levels: he acquired the postage stamps with duplicity (LDS would never have sent him the pre-stamped envelopes had they known his intention. So, this is slam dunk: he stole LDS property under false pretenses). He is sending material via USPS that could harm the recipient or the mail carrier. He is combining several stamps and using them for a purpose other than authorized by the post office. I am only amazed at his naiveté at posting such self-incriminating information over the web. People have the mistaken notion that they are anonymous on the internet. Even rudimentary knowledge of computers will quickly tell you that you are anything but anonymous.

How often do you call the IRS and get the wrong answer on tax questions. And saying that the postal clerk told you that it is OK is not a defense.

Joshua said...

You can take this to the bank: if you piss off the LDS, they will pursue you to the full extent of the law. They will have you watched and followed. Just because you have a political disagreement with someone does not permit you to harass them. If people cannot express themselves via the ballot box, do you want them to come to your house and tell you why they disagree with your lifestyle? The way to change the law is for you to persuade the majority that you are correct. It is not by targeting their businesses, etc.

Anyone remember the case of the American kid who lived in, I think, South Korea 20 years ago? Because kids here in the US spray graffiti on buildings and it gets dismissed as childish pranks, he sprayed graffiti in South Korea. They apprehended him and his punishment: 50 lashes by a martial arts expert along with a stay in prison. I really enjoyed that punishment. I think people should learn that destruction of personal or public property is never an innocent prank.

AJ - I don't know what to say about this "tit for tat" that keeps going on here at the DCW website everytime Hillary's name is mentioned in any type of negative way. You have to learn that you are not her protector. You take absolutely every negative comment about her or Bill personal and it ends up being a continual argument. Many are trying to give her and you the benefit of a doubt but the Clintons are just "lightening rods" because of thier past actions and thier high profile and no matter what she does politically in her future - she is always going to be that "rod" and cause devisiveness. That is just her style and she thrives on "drama". I personally wish her and Bill would just retire because I am sick and tired of hearing about her campaign debt, the constitutional hurdle of her appointment, the Secret Clinton Foundation Donors List and all the other baggage she brings with her in every assignment or job she accepts. I personally gave her the benefit of a doubt because she did work hard for PE Obama during the campaign but once again this was only after using every dirty tactic she could during the primaries. Most of the Republican attacks were the result of her personal comments about PE Obama. She has, and will always, use a "scorched earth policy" whenver she gets in a tight race if she thinks it will help her win. I'm sorry but I believe everything either of the Clintons do is for thier own benefit first and maybe country second. I hope she proves me wrong for the benefit of the Democratic Party but I remain very skeptical. There are too many problems facing this country to waste time with all this nonsense. In the end, I believe you have hurt the quantity and quality of participation on DCW with this constant bickering and fighting. I know Karen Anne, Jean, Beryl, Suzi and others have tried to be polite and defend you and may think what I am posting this time is too strong - but it just never ends with you. You have been the cause of the majority of the discontent and arguments and have caused people (including me) to pull back and be quiet rather than battle you everytime they have something they want to discuss that involves the Clintons. When you speak or chat about anything other than the Clintons you can be charming and fun to chat with - but when thier names comes up - you go into instant "B" mode and you become a totally different person. It is only then that you irritate me and others so much. If I am wrong and the majority of the others who are regulars here feel I am wrong - feel free to tell me and I will listen and stop coming here because this is a great site and we need to police our own behavior. Have a good night!

I really don't know what your problem is with me and I really don't care. Leave me alone and quit bit##ing at me. It's getting real OLD!!!!!!! AJ

Joshua - You made your point. IV Dave is a good guy. You gave your advice to him. I also gave my advice to him because I consider him a friend. But no need for the tone to be this way. That is what my last post to AJ was all about. Most of us who come to this site enjoy our discussions without trying to personally attack each other.

IV Dave - Hope you didn't take offense at my comments. I know you are passionate about your cause. I just really don't want to see you get into any problems over this.

Have a good night.

Mike, you will note that I attacked no poster here. I have posted my opinion regarding helping HRC. I have posted my opinion regarding her eligibility to serve as SOS. I have commented on mail-fraud. I posted about the punishment meted out to a kid in South Korea. I began posting at this board way before you arrived. I seldom post lately because of lack of interest. I posted today only because I got upset receiving solicitation to help someone I consider to have tried her best to prevent the best person from becoming president.

I have not responded to any personal taunts. I have not attacked anyone.

Joshua - Never meant to imply you had personally attacked anyone including IV Dave. If it came across that way - I apologize. I made the same general comment to him as you did but I just wasn't as blunt I guess. Seems like you and I have both encountered the wrath of AJ. Anytime a negative comment about the Clintons is posted - it is the same personal attack. Personally I don't get into the name calling - but I'm an old retired fart who also doesn't care to listen to this constant bickering she causes. Many have told her that and some have tried to be much more polite but she just doesn't stop. When she gets angry she can't control her temper and lashes out and starts name calling and cussing. If Matt/Oreo don't stop it - she will ultimately destroy this site because people will not want to come here and be verbally abused. Hope you have a good night!
