Campaign for Change Has Begun Contacting Coloradans Who Will Receive Community Credentials to Invesco

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

The calls have started...

The Colorado Campaign for Change announced today that they have begun to notify Coloradans who will receive community credentials for Barack Obama’s historic acceptance speech at Invesco Field on the final night of the Democratic National Convention. Notification of Colorado residents receiving community credentials began early this afternoon and will be completed by 9:00 PM tomorrow, Friday, August 15. The Campaign is calling Coloradans who did not provide an email address or cell phone number to let them know they will receive a credential. Coloradans who provided a cell phone number or an email address will be notified by email or text message.

Community members will be asked to pick up their credentials on Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th, at the Colorado Campaign for Change office nearest to them or at additional pick-up locations across the state. All Coloradans picking up a credential are required to show a photo ID. Community members will receive specific instructions on security and access procedures at Invesco when they receive their credential.

Over 80,000 Coloradans responded enthusiastically to this historic opportunity to see Barack Obama accept the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination on August 28th. This past weekend alone, over 2,000 volunteers around the state talked to friends and neighbors in their communities about why Barack Obama is the only candidate in this race that can bring real change to our country. While some Coloradans have chosen to join the Obama campaign by volunteering their time, volunteering is not a requirement to receive a community credential to Invesco.
