I think that before all this is over you will be moving all of NV,OH,VA,NC, and Fl into the Obama column. Maybe even IN
Oh and Bob, I haven't gone to bed, yet (shortly, but not yet.)
I read about that yesterday (I refuse to pay for tabloids,) but that is ONE I just might have to purchase. Just to see if they have the court documents. But from the sounds of the actual article they don't have them yet.

Suzi,
I do not even pause on Faux (so-called) News when switching channels! I was just reporting what Keith Olbermann reported about Faux (so-called) News!!
Mike
Dave,
Regarding Maine - I saw a report that Maine is for Obama by 5 in the latest poll (not sure which one), and both Congressional Districts are by 5 in Obama's favor. The Southern district (CD-1) is something like 49-44, and CD-2 is something like 48-43 - both at the far end of the MOE for each. The state as a whole is at or beyond the poll's MOE.
Indy,
You caught me, I was trying to steal the election. Updated.
Bob,
I agee. Thats why I like to break it down like this. It shows the strength of the states.
To many of these sights are looking at the "Last" poll. It is more the trend in a state that is most important.
One thing to note, polls have been wrong often this year.
Obama has built a really strong organization. An election is much more then how I would vote if someone calls me and ask.
Polsters use past history as a foundation for their calls. But when you have the organization like Obama has and getting the registration we have, we may see some upsets in some of these Red States this year (VA, MO, WV, NC, OH, FL, NV, even GA)
Here is the update.

Washington Mutual has gone under while congress discuss's what to do with this bailout.
I guess Washington is for sure Obama.
I'm not quite sure how reliable the Detroit Free Press is; HOWEVER, Michigan now has Obama up by 13.
This group of Repubs idea on how to bail out the country reminds me of that old John Ridder movie where as president he holds a telethon to raise money.
Mike, that is a good point, but I like to err on the side of caution. :)
Dave,
The Detroit Free Press is relatively reliable. They have also been on the losing end of a union strike, so you don't have to worry too much about a liberal bias. ;)
Also, not to rub it in, but did I call it with Yam or what? He is sounding more like Stop than he has since he invented stop.
Why are we spending so much of our money to be part of this war? Are these really the type of people we should be wasting our withering dollars on, or our young soldiers' lives?
I listened to Palin on her foreign experience, concerning Israel, Canada, Russia, etc. as well as her take on the McCain and Fannie May and Freddie Mac connections. I listened to them all at least twice and some three or four times, and all I could say was "WHAT?"
They must be scared to death of her going into a debate on the issues with Biden without knowing the questions and practicing the answers.
p'd ant - today he did start doing his whole crappy line of statements, but I'm not going to write him off just yet.
Bob, I listened to bits and pieces of her interview with Katie. I do have the interviews on DVR, but haven't had the stomach to watch them in their entirety. So, I'm slowly watching bit by bit.
Hey I liked Americathon Kujo. Except in this case, it will not be the Hebrab Republic chipping in the money to save the U.S., it will be the People's Republic of China.
Guess we will have to get used to seeing photos of Chairman Mao instead of the President at our favorite banks.
It isn't important to know any US history or any history of the candidate your backing. You should just have ideas. Apparently ideas need not be based on what has and hasn't worked in the past.

Unreal p'd ant. Bill O'Really is still trying to pass himself off as a "journalist". Complaining about "gotcha" questions all the while being the king of gotcha?
G'night all!
Here’s how I see it:
1. I hope that McCain chickens out tomorrow. I hope that he does not show for the debate and Obama goes ahead and hosts a public event in lieu of that.
2. If McCain proves to be the coward that he is, here is what Obama needs to do next: cancel all further debates till the time McCain catches him in the polls. As I have said before, if you are already ahead, there is nothing to gain from debating. If you are already ahead debating will not make you win more (it is a winner take all, no matter how slim the margin).
Yes, I called McCain a coward and unpatriotic. I know that his campaign consists of Biden’s famous quote, except that I paraphrase: a NOUN, a VERB, and POW. There is an old English saying my daddy used to tell me: “son, don’t tell people how smart you are. Show’em.”
If you have a passport, than you're some spoiled rich kid.

News to Sarah Palin! I have a passport, and I didn't go to some fancy private University, or have the luxury of attending 4 DIFFERENT Universities in 3 different states, or changing my major 3 times, or taking six years to get my Bachelor's degree for that matter. I don't have a spouse that was a manager working in the oil industry, and I have never had a tax return that came anywhere near the six figure mark. Can you say the same?
Didn't think so, but your assertion is that I'm the spoiled rich kid because I have a PASSPORT!?!?!?
Ok, I did my weekly duty and read through a million mind numbing articles stating what was ridiculously evident 4 years ago, and reading a million racist posts from illiterate rednecks... now I should go on to my actual work. ;) I'll talk to you all soon.
Slate predicts McCain's next 10 Hail Mary stunts.
http://www.slate.com/id/2200927/
This was sent by a friend...this is either good for a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85 Billion!!
The Birk Economic Recovery Plan
I'm against the $85,000,000, 000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000, 000 to in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide Citizens 18+.
Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000, 000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college – it'll be there
Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car – create jobs
Invest in the market – capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance – health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.
If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG – liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic Boom?
I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG.
And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.
Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.
Kindest personal regards,
Birk
T. J. Birkenmeier, A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic
Minnesota,
That was a laugh and that guy has more trust in Americans to properly use that remaining $297K than I do!
His idea is as bad as privatizing SS or Reparations. Most people will squander that money with some of the same speculators who got us into this problem. Others will kill themselves or others over it. Still others will take the money and leave the country.
That said, I would love to get that money and would put it to good use. ;)
McCain will be at the debate tonight according to CNN.
Beryl, in the Slate article of the 10 possible "hail mary's" to come, which were tongue-in-cheek, there was one that I think we will see.
I think McCain is going to say he will only be a one-term president. Something like "send me in to clean up Washington--I won't let politics get in the way."
Another possibility is that Palin gets replaced--something like "Sarah's family needs her more than the nation does, so I am appointing xxx" where xxx could be Leiberman or Pawlenty. Sarah has served her purpose--it could be time to move on.
My point is, there is going to be no end to the "surprises" right up to the election.
The latest Rasmussen national poll has Obama up 5%:
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll
This is the highest Obama has been since the Dem convention. If he has the same (or greater) lead by next Wednesday, it will be time for another McCain surprise.
minnesota,
I suggest teaching you friend basic math. That is an 85 TRILLION dollar payout.
Million- 6 0s
Billion- 9 0s
Trillion- 12 0s
Wasting 85 billion US dollars would only give every person 425 bucks. We already tried that with 600 bucks. It didn't work.
Here is a conservative, female commentator calling for Palin to bow out:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/26/kathleen-parker-after-int_n_129535.html
I for one won't be "surprised"...
Palin in this photo looks goofy.
They sprayed her face with makeup that is darker than her real skin but left her ear and neck white - it looks terrible!

Well, one thing that is kind of nice about living here in California (among MANY other things like the weather) is that people aren't as opposed to keeping the right to marry among same-sex couples as they are in other states like.....um say, rednecksville Alaska, Kentucky, etc.
From what polls show, the ballot measure (Prop. 8) to ban same-sex marriage here in CA is so far looking promising 55% against to 38% in favor. It looks like the Mormons and the Christian extremist who successfully got the measure put on the ballot aren't going to have too much influence on the measure. :)
As I said before, Bill and I won't be getting married just yet. Not until the feds lift DOMA, which will hopefully be fairly soon after Obama takes office ;)
LOL Leah - Where's that damn tanning bed when you need it, OH DAMMIT that's right, it's still in the governor's mansion in AK. I'm surprised she hasn't had one installed on her plane yet. :)
Gotta go to class :(
It's a really short day....see ya'll in a few hours.
Report: McCain Aides Complain That Palin Is "Clueless"
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/26/report-mccain-aides-compl_n_129618.html
.
It makes amlot of sense now why McCain wanted to cancel tonight's debate and push it off and debate Obama on the night of the VP debate on Oct. 2nd and then reschedule or completely cancel the VP debate!
Don't bother watching the debate tonight, McCain already won it...
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/09/mccain_wins_debate.html
That the spin about the conclusion of the debate should start before the debate itself is just another sign of a campaign in crisis.
The McLueless campaign is in flames, and he must be having flashbacks...
So who is going to 'drop out' of the race first? McCain or Palin?
Or maybe both at the same time?
Palin drop out?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! We have seen McCain in action; careening from one hijinx to another. That’s exactly how he will run the country. And it is obvious to anyone with half a brain that Palin is a joke. The funny part is that she has gotten as far as get elected governor of a state. It says a lot about us that someone of Palin’s caliber can get elected governor.
I hope that McCain and Palin win. I want to see how much lower we can sink as a country. Obviously we have learned nothing from the last 8 years. As for me, I am comfortable financially and otherwise. I’ll personally do ok, no matter who wins.
The joke is on us.
Hey Leah, MconomyIsSound may want to bail out, but he still has some "hail mary's" to throw, one of which is to jettison his running mate. I wonder if he will giver her a parachute first?
If Sarah is kicked off the ticket it will happen Wednesday next week, right before the VP debate. Then a "surprise choice" will step in and not be criticized if he doesn't do well because of lack of prep.
Doug-
I cannot image anyone at all that would agree to step in and take Palin's place. Who on earth would be so stupid to join the sinking McCain ticket at this point - it would be political suicide. Maybe Leiberman since he is old - but I can't think of anyone else.
Yeaaaa... now even CNN is posting articles about Palin needing to step down!
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/26/palin-should-step-down-conservative-commentator-says/
Leah, Lieberman's political future is toast already since he will be kicked out to the Dem caucus after the election and his one vote isn't needed anymore. So he would say "yes" in a heartbeat.
doug,
Jerry Kilgore did the same thing in Virginia 3 years ago. He bought an ad "Kilgore Wins Debate" and sprinkled it all over the internet. He at least waited until immediately AFTER the debate concluded, but still. He also made sure it sprung up as part of the screen for every newspaper poll on the debate.
CLASSY
AP, I would love to hear someone raise the question with Tucker (or anyone from the campaign) about the ads, just to highlight how out of control the campaign is.
doug,
Good comment on Lieberman.
But I also think Romney has nothing to lose. All he has to say is that He TRIED to save McCain's behind but he couldn't.
He tried to save the Republican Party but they were to far gone.
jean
Good point Jean. It may come down to whether McFlameout feels he needs more help in Florida (Lieberman) or Michigan (Romney). I think they would both say yes.
The main point here, if Palin drops out or not, is that McCain showed poor judgment for picking her in the first place. There's really no way that McCain is going to get out of the mess he created.
I don't know Leah, it all depends how it happens, if it does. I am sure that it would be an orchestrated event, a teary-eyed Palin saying she needs to withdraw to be with her family, a comforting John saying he totally understands, and new VP candidate ready to step up. The whole thing would be aimed at people who haven't made up their minds yet. The goal for the Repubs is to try to just stay close enough that they might be able to steal the election, by hook or by crook.
Leah,
They could actually make McCain look like the generous guy with a hand out to a strong promising individual who decided to take care of the family for the next 2-3
years.
We've seen weirder things, #1 Palin got picked and perhaps this has always been planned.
You know that the pick never made sense in the first place.
jean
It wouldn't work. Palin and the McCain camp surrogates have already said too many times that Palin is able to do the job and be a mother at the same time. They spent over a week screaming 'sexism' when the media brought up the issue of Palin being the mother of five kids.
Everyone would know that she has dropped out because she is not ready for the big leagues no matter how they would spin it.
leah,
Are you talking about educated or uneducated voters and actually another category is Pro-Lifers.
jean
leah,
These people voted for Bush TWICE.
There is a twilight zone that we have no idea what is involved.
I personally think the twilight zone is people who are scared to death of change.
This also explains the massive amount of ignorance in this country.
And by the way, How are things going with you/
jean
At this point, it is really too late to replace Palin. Each state has different deadlines for changes to the ballot. Early voting either has started or is about to start in many states which is the absolute deadline for a change.
While McCain can say that he will ask any Republican electors to vote for Lieberman or Romney, the response of those Republican electors might be that they will vote for Huckabee for President.
jean-
I guess I was mainly talking about the media. The media would have a field day saying 24/7 that McCain used poor judgment picking Palin. If the media says it enough even the under educated people will believe it.
Things are back to normal here: electric on, food in the fridge, tree off the roof, city has picked up all tree rubbish stacked at the street, a/c is keeping the house cool, and I have my cable news shows. Only thing left to do now is to get a few shingles replaced on the roof.
----
No DIPSTICK and LIPSTICK
Vote Obama/Biden '08
tmess2,
So Palin cannot step down?
leah,
Congrads on things being back to normal:)
There is no doubt the press would have a field day.
I think by the end of it this will be the strangest election in history and most of the "events" are coming up.
Who needs sitcoms when you now have the election.
jean
Dropping Palin?
I think it needs to go a little Further.
Dropping the McCain/Palin ticket.
While it is probably not possible to change candiates right now, the Republican leadership could publicly endorse Bob Barr. Though he is running on the libertarian ticket.
Just looking at the polls.
It is looking at the polls that,
MO,MN,WI,VA,PA will be leaning Obama soon and Florida is not far off.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/latestpolls/index.html
jean
kujo,
If there is an emergency, medical blah blah blah, I am sure that there is someway to change a running mate.
Do you know?
I have been googling and I have found no info.

Unsuspended: McCain Aide Confirms Several Hours Of Debate Prep...Last Night
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/26/unsuspended-mccain-aide-c_n_129680.html
According to MSNBC's David Shuster, McCain Aide Mark Salter has confirmed that last night John McCain spent two or three hours preparing for tonight's debate.
So in the middle of this financial crisis, as he was claiming to have stopped campaigning, John McCain was doing debate prep.
Just another example of McCain's unsuspended campaign.
------
Busted!
I wonder how widely websites such as this are read. I don’t want to claim any credit, but AFAIK, I was the very first poster on any website to describe McCain’s VP choice as a “GAMBIT.” I posted that within minutes of his announcement. Back then, people commonly used the football metaphor (Hail Mary) while I chose the chess term. And now, gambit is the word that is widely used to describe McCain’s antics. Yes. ANTICS. I wonder how long before that enters the general parlance in describing McCain.
The Palin Effect:
It was clear to most people what Palin was a few days after the election. But for Repubs, while they truly had to realize that she was not qualified to be the next POTUS, she did represent someone who could motivate voters and possibly win the election and for that reason, they thought she might be a good choice.
The news agencies, while always new she had no substance, was reporting more on the affect she was having, giving her an even larger boost.
Over time (a very short period), it became clear her ability to motivate the troops was weakening. Speech after Speech we heard the same old thing. Even after it was reported what she was saying was false, she continued.
Her Poll numbers quickly dropped.
Now the Economy has come down on the voters.
Spash. The Palin affect is gone and can not be restarted.
Reporters are no longer reporting on who is listening to her speak, but did you hear what she said. Even conservative journalists are saying she is a joke.
In a couple of weeks, after the bail-out bill is signed and the topics on the economy drops down (not completely), know one will be insterested in listening to How she stopped the bridge to nowhere. They will want to know, what did you do during the "Economic Crater"
McCain's camp now has problems, lots of them but I am focusing on Palin. They don't have time to baby sit the VP. They don't have the money to spend running Alaska. It will become a one man show.
And after the election, she will be dumped on the side of the road. Her Alaska legal problems will be in her face, and she will be empty handed.
Soon she will be out of politics back in Wasilla where she will be chastised by her community. They will be up to their heads with dept on a Hockey Rink and no Pork to bail them out.
-Kujo
Kujo,
Barr has burned any bridges he had remaining with the Republican Party.
He is now (supposedly) against domestic spying.
He is now (supposedly) against the war on drugs.
Hi is now (supposedly) against the call for universal anti-abortion.
He is now (supposedly) against the use of torture.
He always has been against the War on Iraq.
He is now stating that same-sex marriage should be a state decision, not a federal government forced decision.
Add in that he went to court to try to get both the Democratic and Republican nominees tossed off the Texas ballot - no love lost there!
And there are many other issues where he dramatically differs from the GOP 'base'.
Although it would be fun to watch them try to do such a stunt with a straight face.
Mike
I can't believe they'd drop Palin from the ticket. This is the Party that thinks incompetence is a virtue, i.e. not "elitist." Remember VP Quayle.
Mike,
Yay but he is not McCain.....
Did you hear McDonalds is comming out with a burger. Its called the McLieBurger. Turns out nothing like what they said it would be.
No Meat... No toppings... infact no substance at all.
(please add your own McBurger...)

Spread it around to everyone you know!
Yes Leah, that is the key. While musing about what McFailin can do to keep things close, I do worry that as the Republican ticket self-destructs the Dems will relax and start celebrating too soon.
Despite everything the Reps have done wrong, this race may stay close enough that a full court press will be required right through to the end. We don't want a repeat of "hanging chads"!
This link of Cafferty regarding Palin is BETTER is it a little bit longer..

leah,
Thanks for the Cafferty Link.
I am sending it to people as their

Text from HuffPost:
1:09 PM: National Review's Rich Lowry finds one consequence of McCain's gambit -- "everyone at Ole Miss now hates him. It will make for a very hostile audience tonight among those students and faculty attending."
----
Full paragraph from Lowry article:
A Hostile Audience [Rich Lowry]
One side effect of McCain's debate gambit is, I'm told, that everyone at Ole Miss now hates him. It will make for a very hostile audience tonight among those students and faculty attending. He might have to apologize for creating the uncertainty or make some explanation up front, which is never ideal.
---
I don't understand Mississippi - after Katrina, how can they still vote Republican?
Hello There:
Pelosi and Democrats must be very careful about the $700 bail out Plan. It appears majority of Americans don't want to bail out the Wall Street.
Republicans are playing politics during this Election Season.
If Democrats give the White House what they want, then it will be construed that the Democrats are buttlicking the incompetent WH.
The consequence could be huge. The House could change hands in this Election!! Beware.
Democrats MUST run far away from this White House.
Today's Debate will be very key for Obama to set the momentum in his favor.
If he stumbles or does "so..so", then it will be very difficult to catch McCain.
There are lots of PUMAs and (about 8-10%) "undecided" voters will be watching the Debates very keenly.
Sen Obama must try hard to convince these voters that he is the right person to be the POTUS. He has not closed the deal as yet.
Cheers.
Today's Debate is for the consumption of the entire American Electorate, not just MS, which is already in McCain's Bag.
The toss up States like PA, OH, VA, IN, CO, MI, WI etc are the ones we need to worry about.
These States are very close right now. Perhaps, after the Debate they will break out and settle either for Obama or McCain.
We are indeed in a very Tricky Season.
The Election could go either way at this point.
Obama must do very well in the Debate.
His performance at the Warren Meet was decidedly very poor. He cannot afford to repeat it.
He must show that he has "the fire in the belly, and he needs the Job".
Cheers.
Nader pulls MORE votes away from Obama than Barr pulling from McCain. And, PUMAs (about 8-10 million in the
Battle Ground States) are another serious threat to Obama.
Beware.
Complacency is Democrats real enemy now.
Cheers.
TX is deeply a Red State after Ann Richards.
I guess an Obama vote will be a waste!! Like McCain votes' in NY and CA are wastes.
I urge ALL TEXANS to vote whether it is a waste or NOT.
On Palin, Democrats must move away from her. Talking about her gives more oxygen to her Selection. She has fired up most of the Conservative Base. McCain has achieved his limited objective.
Biden has NOT added anything at all to Obama's ticket!
Cheers.
This is a great map:

It will be completely BLUE soon ;)
yam,
I and others are really willing to give you a chance but right now you are sounding like a Republican Teleprompter with a fortune cookie theme.
jean
jean,
This message is for you and Dave.
As a REPUBLICAN, George F. Will recently wrote, "there is no educational value in the second kick of a mule."
Yamaka has already proven himself to be a troll.
As George W. Bush once said, "back in Texas we have a saying, fool me once, shame on, shame on... shame on you. Fool me twice.... Well you can't get fooled again."
IGNORE ALL TROLLS
Grisham is really pissing me off lately. He has been shit this election.
SHIT! Ted Kennedy has just been taken to the hospital.
I hope he comes through this.

ap,
You have gotten gentler with your tone since you started school full time:)LOL
I know, you are correct, hope you are well.
jean
p'd ant - either you are calmer now because you have started school again or you have started smoking again.....which is it?
As far as Yam is concerned, he's harmless. He did state one thing that I thought was interesting: "On Palin, Democrats must move away from her. Talking about her gives more oxygen to her Selection.."
This is one thing that I agree with him on. I wonder if Yam has a direct line to Bill Clinton (Yam's hero) to tell him to STOP praising her and McShrub....because they are both worthless jokes.
OH MY! Finally and HONEST person in the Shrub administration?
Excerpt:
WASHINGTON— Christopher Cox, the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission and a longtime proponent of deregulation, acknowledged on Friday that the voluntary supervisory program of Wall Street’s largest investment banks had contributed to the global financial crisis and abruptly shut the program down.
Whew! Kennedy has been sent home. He suffered a mild seizure at his home earlier.
You know this really sucks. If ANY of us went to the hospital we would be sitting in the ER for 4-8 hours, yet alone being released within 3.
I'm not saying it sucks for Kennedy, I'm saying it sucks for the rest of us.
Indy,
No I do not work for WAMU and I was just giving a heads up previously of the problem.
That sucks on the refund.
Are you at a party tonight or home?
jean
Did anybody notice Huckabee saying it was a mistake for McCain to say he was not going to the debate?
Obama called his bluff. Now that's judgement. Check. Now it's your move McCain.
iv,
Maybe you should ask about a refund. It's not like you canceled taking the class. I don't see how they can charge for a class when the instructor bailed, so you will not have any credit.
Sorry, perhaps my entry before was not clear on the class. The class is supposed to be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Only the Thursday class sessions have been canceled. We are still meeting on Tuesdays.
Jean,
I'm at home. Sorry I forgot to report on Bill's hand. He had his Dr. appointment on Wednesday. The x-rays and scan (can't remember what the dr. called it) showed that things were healing alright, but slower than they like to see (he is 49 after all, he has finally realized he ain't gettin' any younger...LOL). So they haven't scheduled any type of rehab yet, but he will be going back in a couple weeks to get things checked out again. Hopefully they will be sending him to rehab at that time.
Now back to the home v. party thing. I have homework that needs to be tended to (due tomorrow - submitted through e-mail), and I know if I go to a party I'll be drinking and then won't be able to work on it after the debate. So we are watching it at home tonight :)
Dave and Jean,
I will admit that I am smoking again, and I am busy at school, both of which help my mood. Unlike 99% of the rest of the country, my wife and I are actually doing better financially than we were 6 months ago, which is also a great help to a mood.
I must also offer a second point though: My surroundings at this blog are much calmer too. I have issues with ignorance, stupidity, and the spread of lies. I have VERY BIG ISSUES WITH THESE THINGS. Immediately after the Palin nomination, I went on several tyrannical rants at school in my Republican surroundings. The statements I made were true, ironic, and often quite comical, but they were not helpful towards the political ends that I would like.
When confronted with ignorance, stupidity, or bigotry, I often go off. It rarely helps my cause, but I will admit as soon as anyone I have a nasty temper.
Moderate factual errors are easy to argue against, but "infallible" errors (yes, this is an oxymoron) are impossible to beat by definition, and I get a bit angry.
WOW! P'd ant - you are now part of the top 1% of the country? LOL - JUST KIDDING!
Btw - since I have never traveled outside the US, with the exception of Mexico (I could though since I've had a passport for nearly 20 years), I always figured why wait until I need it right....oops got a little off track - I have never been outside the US, I guess by Palin's standards, I SHOULD be one of them, right?
we are at home tonight, too - husband's back went out today, so we are taking it easy.
four more minutes!
Indy,
You are a good man to stay home.
Personally, I get snippy when I am into something and the debate is not one to interrupt me;)
My other half is 57, could you send him a reminder card about that?
Glad Bill is doing better.
Ap,
I truly understand the smoke thing,
with your better half not around, well , I do understand.
Your patience is improving:)
Debate is starting gotta go.
Really care:)
jean
Jean,
Thanks.
Indy,
I too am glad Bill is doing better.
You can't be one of them though, because you're gay. Not traveling outside of North America is just one of the criteria for being a regular person.
On another note, her son is now an elitist for joining the military and going to Iraq. Weird.
Jean,
What's going on with your son? The last I read, you were waiting for the test results?
p'd ant - LOL! I just caught your statement about me not being one of them and about her son being an elitist.
hey karen anne,
The son had more tests.
Yep he is over it.
He will be fine one way or another according to the doctor.
It could take a while.
For sure it is not his gallbladder so I am good.
Tonight was fun.
McCain looked like a condescending jerk in my opinion but as you know I am bias.
Did you have fun tonight?
jean
Technically, Palin could step off the ticket. However, she would still be on the ballot as the V-P candidate in states with an overwhelming number of electoral votes.
Because of that dropping her would create a lot of confusion in a lot of states -- e.g. do I vote McCain-Palin or do I write-in Mc-Cain Pawlenty. They might be able to get the message to core voters to vote McCain-Palin but swing voters would not necessarily get the message.
Jean, I agree that McCain looked like a condescending ass, however I think the debate ended up being a draw. Meaning, McShrub did what he had to do when discussing economic issues and Obama held his own and did what he had to do on foreign policy.
That's my opinion.
If I'm wrong, so be it, but I said from the beginning that removing Palin from the ticket would be a mistake and completely against Republican SOP. If you noticed during the debate, McCain never once admitted Obama was right or that he had ever been wrong on any single issue. Their strength and current power is in never admitting defeat. I do not see them moving away from this basic tactic that has worked so well for so long. Without it, they have nothing except racism on their side.
Evidently the snapshot polls are coming out that it was a draw (46%) Obama 40%, followed by McCain at 22% or so.
WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Great News!!!!!!!
Dave,
I agree. Again, I obviously believe Obama was right on all the issues, but it isn't important what I think. Most voters don't know the history or politics like I do. This is not meant to be arrogant, just a simple fact; how many people actually read Supreme Court decisions FOR FUN?
So these people without the knowledge of what was and what is, from their standpoint, the debate was a draw. The polls may not show that now, but that's what I feel.
I also think a draw works in Obama's favor, because FOREIGN POLICY was not supposed to be his thing. He may need to attack a bit more in the other debates where he is supposed to be more of an expert.
p'd ant - I totally agree with you on that assessment.
What I think is so funny is that when Obama agreed with McShrub he was also quick to point out their differences on the topic.
The Repukes were quick to spin it that he was agreeing with McShrub too much; HOWEVER, ANYONE who has ever taken any form of argumentation (which goes way back to the Sophists) that the best way to beat someone in a debate is to agree with them. It entirely diffuses their argument.
Roland Martin just made an EXCELLENT point!
Not ONCE did McShrub mention middle class.
I am watching CNN.
The sample group in Ohio said 60plus for Obama and McCain 30plus.
The initial from CNN that will be printed is 50plus Obama and McCain lower 40Plus.
What are you talking about?
jean
Older voters 48% Obama and 40% McCain.
Things look way good to me?
I am having donuts and milk.
I am not in my special place:)
jean
Jean, after donuts and milk, you will be :)
We all know that each campaign is going to try to downplay each sides expectations for debates....so what do you think the expectations will be for Palin - nill??????
Indy,
LMAO he he.
Really though,
I am walking at 7am with a die hard republican for 6 miles.
Our #'s are up, right?
jean
jean,
I would definitely say that our numbers were and are up.
OBAMA won the debate HANDS DOWN....
O and Joe '08
jean, good luck with your diehard Repuke friend.
It'll be interesting to hear if you have to deal with their bs about McShrub.
I'm walking in the AIDS Walk on Sunday with a group that has a few Repukes in it. They better not screw with me because I will let them have it.
Indy,
Going to bed.
I have not walked all week and yes I am going to hurt:)
We do some serious hills.
Have a good night.

.
G'night Jean.....have fun tomorrow and if they irritate you too much, just do what I do, take your ipod or other mp3 player and put your headphone/earbuds in your ears and ignore them :)
Wow even Fox News
They had 30 mostly independents all from Nevada they were evenly split between Bush and Kerry in 2004
17 - were swayed toward Obama
10 - were swayed toward McShrub
3 - remain undecided
Hey, the Republicans are heating up their complaints that Democrats and Clinton are responsible for the recession. These are three articles I supplied to a friend of mine for her to argue. Two are great because the source is Republican. The third is good, but it is from the Times, so you'll always get the, "liberal bias" argument.

Hard to argue with facts, especially when the facts that work against your case are provided by the people you're attempting to defend. =)
And NO, I didn't sit through an entire segment of Fox, I watched about 2 minutes (between commercials) but that was what I caught from their assessment.
Dave,
LOL, always on the defensive. ;)
p'd ant - lol - only when it comes to faux noise.
AP,
GREAT news for Virginia - Rassmussen Reports' latest is:
Obama - 50
McNedsABrain - 45
Rass is a very conservative, evangelical in his private life, but his polls are respected, though most admit he has a slight (1-2%) bias for the Repubs. Most take his polls and add (or subtract) 1% to 2% to the difference.
Thus, according to Rassmussen plus the fudge factor, he's reporting that Virginia is going to Obama by 5-7%!!!
Mike
Hey everyone what did you think of the debate? I think Obama did quite well. I also believe that he won it. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!. AJ
The official McCain-Palin expectations for Palin in the VP debate -- It's a win if Governor Palin remembers the following -- the names McCain, Obama, and Biden, the name of the moderator, that she and Senator McCain are mavericks, that all opposition to her is the sexist liberal east coast good old boy network, and that she is ready to be President.
Tmess2
that's funny but you're probable right LMAO! AJ
goodnight to whoevers on. I'm tired and my brain is shutting down. Sweet dreams. AJ
btw, before I say good night, on behalf of Missouri Democrats, I would like to thank Senator McCain for his comments on ethanol tonight. A lot of money has been put into ethanol plants in Missouri over the past 6 years.
If Missouri comes back into play, if we sweep the state-wide offices, if we gain two congressional seats, if we regain the state house, we will be able to point to tonight is the beginning of the tidal wave.
Mike,
Yeah, I saw that. I don't expect Obama to win by 5 percent, but I think he definitely has a good shot at winning. It is looking like he has a better shot at Virginia than he does in Ohio or Florida, which is rather amazing. =)
WOW! McCain literally said "horseshit" on national television.
Hopefully the FCC fines him for that one.
Well I guess I jumped the gun, but according to Keith Olberman (who made an entry on the persons diary), Sorry to say. It was "course not, course not" -- with his sibilant "s" it sounds like "coursh not, coursh not" -- I heard it live, wearing an ear plug, and I have a pretty good ear.
Of course regardless, even Pat Buchanan thought this was a brilliant ploy by Obama.
Seems Bob Herbert is not impressed with what he's seen in Sarah Palin so far.
His op-ed column at the New York Times:

And Robert Schlesinger at U.S. News & World Report asks "Sarah Palin: Out of Control Talking Point Machine or Political Magnetic Poetry?"

OUCH!!!
Mike
Local Minnesota "fun poll" done by local paper
Instant poll: Who won the debate?
# of votes % of votes
Sen. McCain 74 33.1 %
Sen. Obama 134 60.0 %
It was a tie 15 6.7 %
Total Votes 223
On the debate last night.....
I once was interviewing a highly qualified (on paper) person for a job, and he gave all the right answers during the interview. But he not once looked me in the eyes when answering a question. Guess what - I didn't hire him.
Guess what - I'm not hiring McICantLookAtYou either.......
Good news: Scarborough seems to be calling Obama the big winner of the debate.
Bad news: Scarborough and his cronies are most definitely blaming the economic meltdown on the CRA, and are blaming the CRA on Carter and Clinton.
SPREAD THE TRUTH!
insta-poll results look promising, but I still plan to volunteer more, and donate more, between now and then.
busy day today, husband is ripping up the carpeting. turns out there is perfectly good wood floor underneath! I talked him into not starting in at 6 am, but waiting till 8. it's 7:44 now, so I better get up and get ready to lend a hand. later!
oh - before I go - this link cracks me up:
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/9/27/05822/2969/102/612134
Obama did good last night. He hit accord with people when he said McCain was wrong on voting for the war,
he was wrong on saying it would be easy, he was wrong ... and when he said McCain things the war started in 2007
But I think Obama would of hit a homerun if he uses the following in hes arsenal:
McCain likes to quote Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (Iran's Pres) "[Israel] must be wiped off the map" and
"[Isreal is the] most detested people in all humanity"McCain uses these quotes to say how can we negotiate with scum like this. McCain also uses
this as propaganda as reason why we need to build our forces against Iran
Obama should respondBad leaders do use quotes like"[Israel] must be wiped off the map" and
"[Isreal is the] most detested people in all humanity"and people in our country uses this as propaganda to build up our forces to defend ourselves and Isrealbut Bad leaders also use quotes like"Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran"so leaders in Iran can use as propaganda to build up a nuclear defense program in there country to
defend itselfWe need intelligent leadership. We need leadership that will create propaganda that could lead to war.
We need leadership the world respects. We need Barak Obama
floor - lucky you, Vicki!
I had oak flooring under the grotty carpet in my first house, how I miss that little bungalow in California!
Here I'm ripping up carpet and there is strange flooring underneath made out of a motley collection of wood pieces and held down by hundreds of rusty nails. I have to decide whether to fork out for real wood installation, do it myself (can I do the tricky sawing), or do a humongous amount of prep work and paint the motley stuff.
That's what happens when you read a lot of house blogs, you get to thinking, that's not rocket science, I can do it, and the next thing you know, the sofa's in the recliner's lap and there's a pile of carpet in the garage :-)
If folks haven't looked at 538 today yet, they have broken out some of the other questions that were included in the instant polls. Those other questions involve things like competence on foreign affairs, ability to be a good commander in chief, understand my problems. On most of the key questions, after last night's debate, Obama's numbers shot through the roof -- gaining between 10 and 50! points.
I would not be surprised by a 3-4 point bounce in the tracking numbers by Thursday.
Daily Kos - an unsung moment of the debate
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/27/11751/6583/851/612394
Read the posts too. I'm pretty choked up reflecting on this.
my sister - who doesn't get all excited about too much - went to the rally in Greensboro today.
get this: they were about TWENTY FIVE YARDS from Barack and Joe!
and geesh, I thought I was flying from having TOUCHED Howard Dean.
Apparently, she is totally ON FIRE now. (I asked if she intended to volunteer - wouldn't be surprised if she goes and maxes out on donations now - her and her husband can afford it, unless things have really gone south for them)
I came across these pics, some still photos and some are slideshows. They will make you smile and maybe shed tears of joy. (I'm so emotional right I can't hardly see what I'm typing)
ENJOY!

Ruby - what a great diary that was.
beryl, the one you posted earlier was awesome as well.
I hadn't even noticed that Obama was being sympathetic toward McShrub at that point.
Ruby,
I loved that diary! Yes, I needed a tissue.
Now THIS is FUNNY!
That WAS a great diary. Another point that I thought was outstanding though not as sweet: McCain kept TALKING about bipartisanship, while Obama kept PRACTICING bipartisanship.
Throughout the entire debate McCain mentioned the need to be above politics, yet he kept deriding the liberals in general, and Obama specifically, for doing everything wrong and always being wrong. He never once admitted Obama or any Democrat was right about anything, ANYTHING!
Obama on the other hand spent much less time TALKING about bipartisanship, and instead chose to PRACTICE bipartisanship. When he saw a point where they could agree, and where a compromise could be forged, he quickly pointed it out to everyone. He said (this is how I hear things), YES! We DO have to fix the problems with pork barrel projects, but it is a drop in our economic budget at the time. Let's first fix the BIG problems, that will save taxpayers HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, and THEN we'll start working on the little stuff that will save us a billion here and a billion there.
THAT IS CLASS. OUR next President, Barack Obama, a better man (or woman) we could not hope for. He IS what we need, and he is more than we deserve. I will graciously accept his leadership.
OUCH - Wachovia is now seeking a seeking a merger with Citigroup.
UGH! I'm VERY tired. Yes I know I put in "seeking a" twice.....don't give me shit about it! LOL!
I worked on homework late last night, and then Bill had a rough night (he smacked his hand on the headboard.
What were you two doing that involved him hitting the headboard? ;)
p'd ant - LOL! NOTHING! He was sleeping and I guess when he rolled over or something. Remember we are currently sleeping in separate rooms until his hand is healed to a point to where it doesn't hurt when something touches it.
Obama Obama Obama Obama Obama Obama Obama

;p
Dave,
HAHA! SUUUURRREEE! I didn't know that, remember I've been largely absent due to too much work. I'm in my office at school writing up lab reports. I think I'm going to pull an all nighter until I finish them all. Then, once I'm in a GREAAT mood from spending so much time with that, I'm going to grade my students' lab reports. I'm sure I won't let my mood effect their grades. ;)
p'd ant - about 3 1/2 weeks ago or so, but nearly cut three fingers off with a circular saw. He spent nearly the entire night in surgery.
Good luck with the grading btw.
Well, FactChecker.org has the Debate missteps on their website.
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/factchecking_debate_no_1.html?cnn=yes
So McShame voted for that 4 million dollar Bear study. Priceless.....
More from beautiful Vancouver surrounded by snow capped mountains.
I watched the debates and then the tapped versions a second time. I can clearly see why the diehard Republicans can say that McCain won, and why the diehard Democrats can say that Obama won. But clearly, Obama was the far better debator.
Again he didn't go to the gutter. He more than successfully countered every one of McCains fabricated charges and misinterpretation of Obama's policies. I was hoping that Obama would eventually tell McCain that there was no benefit in having a debate if McCain was going to fabricate Obama's positon, and instead he should state his own position and leave Obama's position for Obama to expouse.
I also think that Obama missed many opportunities to give McCain a good come back. He was too nice. For example, he could easily have said to McCain, did you ever consider the fact that Iran and North Korea feel that they must push forward with development of nuclear programs when they hear potential presidential candidates saying very unpresidential things like "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran."
Everybody knows, including Iran and the whole world, that the US could easily anihalate Iran. It is not necessary to say it. The US is in a fabulous position with it's military might to backstop any and all diplomatic negotiations.
No, it was clear that McCain's foreign policy is based on antagonism against states like Venezuala, Syria, North Korea, Iran, and now Pakistan.
On the bear issue, the Washington Post had a story about it in the early summer.
The DNA was not a separate line item but was just one part of the expense to study the bear population. While I don't know if DNA is the best way to assure an accurate count of the bear population, there was a valid reason why the local field office wanted a study of the bear population. Apparently, it was in connection with the endangered species act and whether or not the local bear population had increased enough to improve the status of that species of bear, thereby reducing the regulations on local business.
Bottom line, everything that looks at first glance like wasteful spending may, on closer examination, end up not being wasteful spending.
tmess,
Very well said. It would be nearly impossible to get FDR's New Deal passed in the current political climate, but how many today would give back what the New Deal created?
You know, I'm totally waiting for SNL to come on. I really wish that someone - I don't care WHO it is, puts a side by side comparison of Miss Teen South Carolina...and....um Sarah Palin's interview with Katie Couric....now THAT would be some classic stuff.
Hi Dave
so how is everything going for you? Sorry to hear Bill hurt his hand [or fingers I should say]
I've been busy the past few days. My insurance adjustor came out and he look at my home. I'm getting a new roofing and I've got 1 broken window. So I've been calling some roofers but can't seem to get them to call me back.
Now I also found a big limb hanging above my shed. It's about 40 ft in the air so I guess I need to call a tree guy. Got my yard all cleaned up it looks great now. Glad to get that all done. Of course I'm going to need a pint of blood because the mosquitoes. I've never seen them so bad. I bet I killed 200 today while I was outside. AJ
Virtually everyone I know who saw the Miss Teen USA clip and the Couric/Palin interview put them together in their heads. I'm surprised we haven't seen it on the Daily Show or on Keith O.
AJ - that sucks with the skeeters, but I'm glad to hear that you are getting things cleaned up. Good luck with the roofers. I'm sure they are all pretty busy right about now. If not on other people's homes, they're bound to be busy working on their own.
Thanks AJ, he's feeling better now, we got him some more whacky tobacky. Like I've said before, neither of us normally smoke the stuff, but when we are in as much pain as he was today, well guess what.....tough shit! - It's for legitimate medical purposes, and is non-addictive (unlike one of our presidential nominees spouses who will remain unnamed - oh the hell with it Cindy McShrub.)
Beryl, I'm surprised nobody has done a side by side yet either. Since I'm on the left coast, SNL doesn't come on for another 2 1/2 hours :(
Regarding Ms. Teen S. Carolina...there is a "brighter" side. At least she won't be running for political office in the near future.......well mostly likely never will either.
OOPS! Evidently McShrub has the "C" word on the mind entirely tooooooo often.
Dave
I knew exactly who you were talking about.
I wish I had some I hurt my ankle and it's killing me. I have my foot up in the air so the swelling will go down hopefully.I know that everyone is busy so I can just wait it's that that terrible. AJ
goodnight everyone I'm headed for the bed I found a pain pill and it's starting to take affect. AJ
typo last post I meant to say not that terrible. Brain is getting fuzzy!!!!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!If this isn't enough to scare the bejeezus out of anyone I don't know what will.
AJ - LOL - Goodnight, I hope the swelling goes down. Just keep it propped up ;)
tmess2,
Yes, some politician I forget had an award for "wasteful spending." Often it went to legitimate, necessary scientific studies.
Somewhere (getting tired) on the site someone is guessing Palin's incompetence in interviews may be a really devious lowering expectations ploy for the debate. Possible, I guess. But would her doing an excellent job in the debate erase the image of incompetence she's already created? Or could the Repugs be thinking many more people will see the debate than the interviews?
Re: "The US is in a fabulous position with it's military might to backstop any and all diplomatic negotiations." I think not so. As I understand it, Iraq has stretched the military to the breaking point.
iv, that clip made my blood stop running, let alone run cold.

That would have been William Proxmire's 'Golden Fleece' awards. Given out on a monthly basis.

Good morning everybody. Get your groove on to this video.
"Debate Highlights -in Song and Dance". Pretty catchy tune.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BZCXLEEsws
The words are a little hard to understand, so here are the lyrics:
freedom and justice and liberty (whoo!)
i'ma lower the working class taxes and make tastier food
john mccain supports the hurricanes (mm, yeah)
but i voted against them (yeah, i voted against them)
john mccain voted to ruin your life for 8 years
gotta give it to him, the man's got experience (mm!), oh---
this time we won't take more of the same
no, it's time for a change, yeah
you're a wolf in sheep's clothing
dick cheney in a skirt
oh! pretending you don't know!
you're running from your shadow
i'll use a better military strategy
and take care of our soldiers
i'ma go to afghanistan myself and brush the dirt of their shoulders
john mccain thought the war was a great idea (mm!)
he said it'd be easy
now we're all spread thin and we desperately need to build up in afghanistan (mm!)
we've got wall street scramblin, greenspan gaspin, and he says we're doin just fine
but you can't just sprinkle sugar on a piece of sh* and convince people that it tastes good!
oh, yeah (whoo!)
Just in case anybody missed SNL, here's the Sarah Palin Interview skit. One answer to a question is almost word for word that Sarah Palin actually gave. WOW!!
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/27/tina-fey-as-sarah-palin-k_n_129956.html
get this: my sister (saw Obama/Biden in Greensboro yesterday) is fired up enough to donate, but not to volunteer.
however, she will not only put me up if I come out to volunteer, but she will come out and volunteer with me!
gaaaah, can I lose a week or so out of my busy schedule in order to do this?
North Carolina has 15 electoral votes and it is a battleground state. Any help you can provide there will be most helpful. It is worth any sacrifice. Remember, the kind of country your children live in depends on the outcome of this election.
AmericaFirst,
Thanks for encouraging those who can help in NC. Obama is up in the polls in NC and I definitely believe we can win there.
What can we do if we cannot go down there personally? Phone calls? Is there a link to get numbers in NC from the Obama site?
Saturday Night Live was AWESOME last night! I hope they have Tina Fey doing Palin every week until the election.
Every time I see PALIN it looks like a SNL skit to me = Palin is a joke!
Beryl, hi.
Please start here .
It looks like things are changing for the better.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/?map=10
It is looking like McCain is definitly loosing ground.
jean
Check out McFailin on This Week:

The guy is in free-fall ('now where IS that parachute anyway?').
peevish and iv dave-You two are too funny. lol To try to make a long story short, a friend of our's was able to be a father with a broken hip. ;)
I saw the SNL skit. It was great. I didn't expect them to jump on this so fast.
doug,
Wow, I watched the clip.
It took a while, more than one is watchingLOL.
I guess there is a double standard.
Sorry about the previous post and spelling.
Doing to many things at once.
Are you taking the Chargers or the Raiders?
I think you know I am taking the Chargers:)
jean
Jean
I'm glad RCP's map has been updated. Obama must do even better or the election will be stolen. It will be a little hard to explain a McSame win if Obama is far ahead on every front.
They'll talk about "Bradley Effects" and all of that but if polls shows 55-45 Obama and 320 plus electoral votes, the country will be tied up in recounts for over a year. Even the Repigs don't want that.
Can someone explain why GW/Battleground Tracking is consistently out of line with the other surveys?
How closely did it predict the 2004 election?
beryl,
I know there will be some "Bradley Effects" but I cannot and will not believe that it will be enough for Obama to lose. After the VP debates it will be clearer.
Obama has too many young voters who are not tainted and too many older voters who know better.
You have to have faith in your fellow human being. That is how progress is made.
And yes, One can still get an ulscer;)
jean
ulcer.
My spelling is killing me today.
KA, sorry about stopping your blood flow last night. But it is a VERY real possiblity. I've been making calls today ;)
That video got me working harder today. I've even forced Bill to make a couple (he hates me right about now for holding the gun to his head.) LOL :)
Jean - I personally don't care for football, but when I looked at the score a few minutes ago the score was 15-0 (Oakland). Don't tell me the Chargers are sucking as bad as the Padres this year?
Jean,
I believe we can take the country back before the Corporatists strip-mine us of all of our resources.
I've voted in 8 presidential elections and experienced the highs and lows of winning and losing. However, this is the most critical of them all. Losing this one would be more than a disappointment to a few US citizens. It would be devastating to the entire world.
The victory of this election will be so sweet. Can you imagine the celebrations on 11/5? Although a few US citizens will be disappointed, there will be dancing in the streets across the Americas and overseas. I've already scheduled to take off work 11/4-11/5.
beryl,
You PARTY GAL you LOL.
Indy,
The first half was in a parallel
universe where everything is opposite;)
Hopefully things will go back to normal in the second half.
