Leah,
Check out the new Head to Head Poll on RealClearPolitics in North Carolina.
It is very surprising.

How so?

SurveyUSA is one polling firm. There are others.

Do you know what an outlier poll is? If not, go to http://www.pollster.com/presbushapproval.php for an example of how outlier polls can skew the results unless you look at the history of the polls, take into account various scenarios, and do a 'poll of polls'.

Considering what the numbers look like coming out of Kentucky it doesn't look like she is going to pick up a very big margin of extra pop. votes to add to her total.

My guess is that Obama will pick up a bigger margin of pop. vote out of Oregon then HRC does out of Kentucky.

Hello Democrats:

CNN is calling KY for Hillary with potentially 30% margin, as expected.

To ALL the BHO Propaganda Crowd:

1. What is the difference between John Kerry and BHO?

Both are FAR LEFT Liberals, as is Ted Kennedy.

But remember, even if these Liberal icons' help, BHO could not win MA, CA.

Kerry got 59 million votes in the GE, but got only 251 EVs.

This portends a repetition of History, if BHO is the Nominee.

Hillary can be the savior of the Democratic Party:

1913 + 102 + 200 = 2215 TDs, a few more than 2209 for the Nomination.

SDs, save the Party from another humiliating defeat in 2008.

My heart goes out to Ted Kennedy, a true champion of working America. Almost 50 years of tireless dedicated service to the betterment of quality of life in America.

God will bless you, Ted.
Recover soon, America needs you.

RE Leah

Yes, I don`t think here popular vote margin will be more than 100 000-120 000. It is 25 000 at the moment with 25% counted, more urban than rural votes counted so far, so I think Clinton will do a bit better, perhapes by more than 30%. It is 14% so far, but she could at least double it, because of more rural voters to come.

I think the turnout here will be less than 1 mill, OR is expected to be more than 1 mill, so I don`t think Clinton will gain much in popular vote today. If she nets 30-50 000 combined she would still be more than 550 000 votes behind (not countin IA, NV, WA and ME).

Hey, Forgot to say hello.
Hello.
I do understand that this could a an outlier poll but you have to admit it is a jump.
In reference for the frustration,
come on, do you really think that they only got ahold of Obama supporters when there hardly were any.
Survey USA is much more detailed than most polls.
Check out the column that askes if you would change your mind and it runs between 50-60% for Obama.
You can look at their polls and it is pretty consistant.
Hillarys is between 20to45%.
The same goes for the Oregan Poll.

Lol, we thin alike.
I`m not as sure as I was regarding Edwards endorsing after WV(i predicted that), but Gore endorsing tomorrow in FL would just fit perfect. Obama campaign has controlled a lot of the timing regarding some important endorsements etc, I wouldn`t be surprised if they have been talking to Gore. Gore would never endorse before Obama has reached the pledged delegate majority (because of 04-story), but after KY and OR Obama will have won the majority of pledged delegates (he has secured 11 in KY so far and lacks 3 or 4) and he will more or less won the popular vote count. There is no way Clinton will win Puerto Rico with 600 000 votes.

Leah, don't be so sure. I suspect that many of the pro Hillary posts here are actually pro-repubs. You can see the turn already start to happen with the anti-democratic party rhetoric of Yamaka.

How about we all turn to speculating on how the convention will go? I've posted on another page that I think in the end Hillary will release her delegates at the last minute and that there will be unified vote for Obama. Any other thoughts?

Cat said...

If the Super Delegates end up having to vote at the convention, will their votes be public or private? I have to wonder if certain Super Delegates would vote according to their endorsements if the voting was private. I think some Super Delegates are endorsing one candidate or the other because of public opinion. I wonder if their votes were kept secret - like ours (the people are) if they might vote differently. Just a thought.

I am amazed how some of these Super Delegates can't be patient and wait until all of the Primaries are over before backing one candidate or the other. I think it is disrespectful and I have a low opinion of those who endorse a candidate the day a primary is being held and the results aren't even in. I have an even lower opinion of those who don't endorse according to the vote in their state.

Leah Texas4Obama said...

catharine -

Hillary 'used to' have the lead in Super Delegates. Many SDs came out and endorsed her early on in this nomination race.

Now the tide has turned and it is Obama getting the majority of the newer SD endorsements.

No one was complaining back when it was Hillary that was getting the endorsements from the SDs.

The rules are equal for both candidates.

Peter said...

Yes, she could do that. I`m pretty sure Clinton wil withdraw the after june 3th and after MI and FL is seated. I think MI and FL is important for her to withdraw, she needs them to be seated but it will be a compromize of some sort, probably 69-59 in MI and a 50% penalty in both states. Clinton needs this as a "symbolic" win.
I think Clinton will show that she is 100% for Obama when she withdraws. I do think she has behaved in a bad manner, but I also think she will do the right thing for the party when she admit her loss. I do think she is 100% for the party.

________
catherine, why you are amazed, when the DNC Chairman (Dean) and Congressional leadership has been begging supers to come out sooner than later?
Personally, I don't have a problem with supers who come out before the voting, but agree with you that they should follow the vote of their constituency (state vote for Govs and Sens, CDs for Reps) if they haven't the courage to endorse before the vote. DNCs who hold elective office (like Carole Migden in CA) should follow their constituencies, too.

Sec of State says minimum of 50% of all registered voters will vote, but that interest in the Dem Primary is high (we have a closed primary).

Today's news reports were that drop off sites (for people who did not mail in their ballot on time) were overflowing and had to be transported to the election departments every two hours cause they were full.

When those arrive at the county elections division the signature is checked and placed in a box to be optically scanned starting at 8pm and the counties will send periodic reports into the Sec of States office....

tmess2 said...

One question about Clinton's popular vote count -- If the Michigan and Florida Advisory Primaries count, why isn't the Washington Advisory Primary included? That is another 38,000 net for Obama (and presumably more net from Idaho in a week given how disrespectful the Clinton's have been to Idaho).

Currently the voters in Washington and Idaho are not counted by the Clinton version of the popular vote since the caucuses in those states only reports delegates so including the advisory primaries would not be double counting.

Dear Democrats:

How the field has been tilted from Day One of this Primary Season against Hillary:

1. Liberal MSM has been coronating BHO as the Messiah, the Savior of the world and the universe.

2. Rezko, Wright, Ayers, U of Chic and Rashid Khalidi all were there from Day One; but they were NOT interested in investigating BHO thoroughly.

3. The Democratic Party acted undemocratically regarding MI and FL. The indolent inept incompetent MSM did not want to ask the logic of it all when they know the GOP pulled the plug on them, especially in FL.

4. The Real Hurdle is 2209 and not 2025, which they have been parroting for a long time.

5. The anti-Bill Clinton and the anti-Women Gang colluded with the Liberal MSM to mug Hillary in the broad day light.

6. But the Majority of the Americans knew this plot, and are supporting Hillary till the last minute.

I predict on June 4th Hillary will have the clear lead on Popular Vote.

This delegate counts are just massive manipulation of the Party to pander to the Minority, and to ignore the Majority.

Majority Will Succeed.

SDs, do you want to ask the Majority to stay at the Back of the Bus? Think of the historical implications of what you itch to do.

Go Hillary Go. Stay and Fight all the way to the Convention.

Folks, there have been a few posters who are in the Denial stage. It looks like one has progressed to the Anger stage.

It will be interesting to see how quickly those certain posters progress through the five stages, or if they get caught in one stage without progressing, and thus make their possible contributions to the discussion very irrelavent.

What I do think is probable is that we will go through a couple of weeks of 'rough water' as a couple of posters go from Denial to Anger, and take it out on the rest of the posters. I predict that at least one will stay in the Denial stage, but it in with the Anger stage, and will not quickly progress past the Anger stage, if that particular person passes that stage at all.

My advice - absolutely and totally ignore the posts made in anger. The Anger stage needs feedback to keep going. If none is given, there is a good probability the person will more quickly enter the remaining three stages.

Hello BHO Supporters:

Congrats. You deserve one in OR.

But today is a Day that will live in History Books that

HRC is the First Candidate who got the most popular vote in any Primary Election since the Birth of our Union, and that she is the First Woman too.

Hillary is the toughest campaigner that the world has ever witnessed, ever.

She NEVER EVER gives up. The entire MSM punditry pulls her down, and she comes right back up. That's the tenacity of purpose, the passion to serve ALL Americans. Grateful Nation always salutes the Champions of hard work.

Dreams come true only to the doers and not to just talkers. Fuzzy talk is cheap. Do it and make new History. Hillary made New History today.

BHO crows about change. But Hillary has delivered the Change already. A change in the History Books.

She leads an awesome 220K in Popular Votes. PR is going to push her further up to the sky.

SDs: Listen carefully, never ever ask the Majority to sit at the Back of the Bus! Never.

Thank hard, and act fast.

One or two may take up McSame's challenge to go blog on other sites (translation - increase the noise factor to the point the sites get shut down). If I were an administrator at DailyKos, for example, I'd be clamping down so hard it wouldn't be funny.

RobH or was it Oregon Dem? - I don't think the Pelosi Club will come out and endorse Obama until after June 3rd even though as of tonight he has the majority of pledged delegates. The Pelosi Club will probably wait until after the RBC decision and after the last primary of the season.

So they wish it was decided by somebody else, or some other event.

PealClear Politics won't move the Pelosi Club unless they hear it from the horse's mouth, so to speak, and that means waffling and equivocation until 6/3.

But, as I said befor, this is over on 6/4.

And, she will have the Total delegate lead by at least 100k by June 4th Morning.

I think the saddest campaining I have seen in this election is the sales job of trying to get Clinton elected because "Clinton supporters will not vote for Obama, so Obama supports better vote for Clinton."

The irony of the whole thing is that this is precisely the reason people support Obama, he bring people together and is out for the common good of the Country.

For those who are actually worried about this (I don't think anyone who is on this site) must realize that McCain has not be challenged yet. As we can see in the last week things will start to heat up. We have 6 months to go until the GC. Soon this race will be forgotten and once the battle between Obama and McCain heats up, these Clinton supports will quickly join in the battle.

As for donating 25 bucks to Clinton. Please save your money, at this stage of the game the money is just going into her pocket.

The kicker is she loaned the money to HER campaign with INTEREST to be paid back to her!

One of the reasons she has not dropped out is because the longer she stays in the more time she has to beg people to donate on her website. I think it is shameful.

Seriously- it's time to tone it down.
We look at the differences between these two candidates, but if you graph out their positions on most issues, they are both about equal in comparison to their opponent on almost everything.

Barack
...needs to concede that FL should be seated, either at 50% or 100%.
...jumped the gun a little on claiming a majority with this issue up in the air.
...needs to bite the bullet and at least offer Hillary VP. I'm a big Sebelius fan, and never liked the idea sent to future generations of three decades of Bush/Clinton on the P/VP list, but this is needed.

Hillary
...needs to take the offer that the Michigan democratic party made on seating delegates. She wants them to be seated....but not like they are asking to be seated now?
...is starting to tone down her criticisms a bit, and it's helping.
...shouldn't do "fuzzy math" on counting delegates or votes. She agreed to this method, and you can't be a leader if you want to change the rules midway through to favor you. If something is wrong, work with the other sides and fix it.

Both of them have very similar goals of what the country should be doing at this time next year. They CANNOT do it without each others' active support, and yours.

..as for the kid who sold his bike, I think it's a ruse to get his parents' approval. Do you really think they would let him do it if he was donating to Clinton and they were McCain supporters?

Now another one for you Rob - Some of Yamakamikaze's earlier posts left me ROTFLMAO, but they have become pitiful expressions of his lack of sense of reality for the last three or four weeks.

If you want to know what an acronym means (such as ROTFLMAO), go to http://www.acronymfinder.com and enter it in the search box near the top of the page. Some have one or two entries (such as ROTFLMAO or ROTFLOL), but some have dozens of meanings. That means you have to consider the context of the usage to figure out which one fits.

Sorry your so wrong about Fl and MI, not that they will be seated, they will.

There is no way the DNC or the rules committe will change the rules that could possibly change the results of the race. Won't happen.

What will happen, 2 possibilities.

1. Now that Obama has won the pledge delegate battle (up 150 - 160 by end of night with 122 to go.) SD's will see that at best she will gain 10 pledged on him. SD's will then be pressured by party heads to make their choice public now for the good of the party. Obama will then have enough (way more then enough) delegates to win the nomination. Rules committee will meet and seat FL and Mi with at most 1/2 delegates with some formula for MI.

2. Not enough SD's will come over before the Rules Committe meeting. No change to the Rules and we go from there.

I have not checked all the county's and added them all up like you probably are, but I was right anyway about Hood River, Bend (Deschuetes County) and we agreed about Jackson.

All three are going 60 -40 for Obama.

Multnomah going 64% Obama to 35% Clinton could swing another delegate....???
