Atlanta Rapper Ludacris Campaigning For Jim Martin Monday

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

It's a battle of the stars in Atlanta Monday as former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin stumps for Saxby Chambliss and three-time Grammy award winning rap artist Ludacris headlines a rally for Jim Martin.

Both Martin and Chambliss are trying to encourage their supporters to get out and vote in Tuesday's run-off election; an election that will determine who represents Georgia in the U.S. Senate for the next six years.

The Martin for Senate campaign announced that Jim Martin would spend December 1st campaigning throughout the state with Congressmen John Lewis and Hank Johnson, state Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond, and other Georgia leaders before closing out the day with a "rally for change" with Ludacris on the steps of the State Capitol.

Republican Saxby Chambliss will spend Monday campaigning with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

i assume you are joking. if you were gonna vote for one candidate, any candidate, and you changed your mind because any singer/actor/preacher/politician/nutcase campaigned for him, your mind must be pretty small. I am sure he was invited to help get young people, and especially young blacks to the polls. why would you care?

My mind may be small. What little I have after 4 tours of combat anyway. But I have earned a right to vote for who I wish. I guess having a young black war hero would not be as good as having Ludicris recuit young black voters.
You are right about that. It's where we are today.

well, as i see it, whether you did 4 tours or were a concientious objector, you still have the same right to vote in this country, but having said that, i tip my hat, both to your bravery and to your service. and of course you may vote for whoever for whatever reason or no reason at all. but yes, elvis pressley and ronald reagan not to mention some well shaped ladies did more for recruiting than all the good soildiers you could find, and that is still true today, whether it be for votes or to get young men and women to enlist. you think brittney spears in a well tailored uniform wouldnt get a lot of teenaged girls signed up? sure it would, does that mena a smart young woman should not volunteer to serve her country? of course not. same with a hip hopper trying to get out the vote. sadly, when the evil lying bast@rd got nearly 60% of the vote, nobody could save georgia from itself this time.
