Morning Trivia

Arnold Schwarzenegger (R - Governor of California)
Phil Bredesen (D - Governor of Tennessee)
Jon Corzine (D - Governor of New Jersey)
Michael Bloomberg (I - Mayor of New York City)

Arnold and Bloomberg are facing term limits, dunno about the others. I think Bloomberg got the term limit lifted, maybe.

It is the salary, but not really! Because Phil, Michael and Jon receive $1.00 per year and return the rest to their state (city), while Arnold gives his salary for charity while California is in debt. But he is Republican, so no surprise he is more interested in his popularity than he is in his state

Arnold is a pretty good Governor. He would have made a much better candidate than McCain, if only he had been eligible.

McCain would have made a much better candidate than McCain, if he hadn't actually run.

It's hard to judge what will happen to people in the pressure cooker of a Presidential campaign.

Would need more info before blaming Arnold. I know in my state there are some cases about public officials declining salaries or returning them to the government. (Partly, to avoid giving advantage to folks who would run on taking less than the full salary thereby limiting potential candidates to the independently wealthy.)

None of these guys were born in the states where they hold office; all have either been divorced or have split up from their first live-in.

I didn't say that was a bad thing :)

I just didn't find anything else. Note: I've been divorced once, I live in Illinois and was born in Japan (USAF base). ;)
