Michigan

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

With reports that the Obama campaign is now moving their staff out of Michigan, (after McCain pulled out a couple of weeks ago), why did we spend all that time worrying about the effect of Michigan's delegate issues on the fall election?

Many Democrats, including DNC chair Howard Dean, believe it is critically important to reach some kind of compromise to seat the Michigan and Florida delegations in order not to alienate voters in the two battleground states, each of which could be pivotal in the November general election. - Huffington Post
Ickes maintains that a strong lesson has been learned by the states, but that it is time to move on with an eye toward the ramifications in the general election if those states are not seated. - Time
And where are we now?

Obama 54, McCain 38.
