Jim Martin Rolls Out New Ad Hitting Chambliss On The Economy

Jim Martin’s campaign released a new ad focused on the economy and Martin’s plans to work with President-elect Barack Obama to create jobs and cut taxes for middle class Georgians. With record job losses, falling home values, and retail sales dropping, it's clear that Georgia's economy is in trouble, but Saxby Chambliss says, “We may not be in a recession. I don't know what that term means.”

"Recession"

At least five Georgia factories have announced closures in the past month, over 96,000 Georgians have lost their jobs in the past year, and the Joint Economic Committee estimates that Georgia home prices will fall 1.2% between 2007 and 2009.

“Saxby Chambliss is out of touch with the needs of middle class Georgians,” said Jim Martin, candidate for U.S. Senate. “We can’t count on Saxby Chambliss to fix our economy if he can’t even recognize the problems Georgia families are facing. I am the only candidate in this race who will work with President-elect Barack Obama to fix our economy and get Georgia back on track.”
