- Pete Rouse, senior adviser. Rouse is currently Mr. Obama’s chief of staff in the Senate.
- Jim Messina, deputy chief of staff. Messina is currently the transition team’s director of personnel and served as the national chief of staff for the Obama campaign. (photo at right)
- Mona Sutphen, deputy chief of staff. Sutphen, a member of the transition team, has been managing director of Stonebridge International LLC, a consulting firm based in Washington. She previously was a U.S. Foreign Service officer and served in the White House at the National Security Council.
- Philip Schiliro, assistant to the president for legislative affairs. Schiliro is a longtime Capitol Hill aide for Obama.
It should also be noted that Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina was never a member of Buffalo Springfield or Poco. Someone over at Wikipedia needs to do some updating.
