A long time ago, during one of the Democratic Primary Debates, one of the candidates mentioned that, if elected, he'd rescind a bunch of Baby Bush's Executive Orders. I don't remember which debate, nor which candidate, but I'm betting one of you remembers it. The way I wish the comment had gone is "Rescind first, read second" but that wasn't the comment.
However, President-elect Obama has decided to reverse at least 200 of these orders. Like all Obama decisions, this one is researched, well thought out, and has an implementation plan, not just an idea. There has been a team working on this for months. You can read all about it here.

The team is now consulting with liberal advocacy groups, Capitol Hill staffers and potential agency chiefs to prioritize those they regard as the most onerous or ideologically offensive.
