Senate Update

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

Vote counting in Alaska should finish on Tuesday, with Begich still leading by 1,022 votes.

The GOP was going to kick Stevens out of their caucus on Tuesday, but that plan has been put on hold.

Jim Martin in GA is giving thanks that, thanks to the recount in MN, the GA seat won't be the final piece of the Senate 60-seat puzzle.

And in MN, the Franken campaign has asked the state canvassing board to delay the official certification of the Minnesota Senate race until several additional absentee votes were counted.

The Senate Democratic caucus will vote on Joe Lieberman later today, with the evening chatter implying that Lieberman will keep his chairmanship of the Homeland Security and Government Oversight committee.
