Maybe they'll send the text message at 3 a.m. That way we can all be reminded when we are woken up in our sleep to hear it is not Hillary Clinton that Obama passed on the most qualified and most prepared person for VP. I'll be woken up, already quite angry given he didn't vet Clinton at all, lying to me and other Democrats who supported her, at 3am, to realize that we are not safe.

Just because she wasn't vetted and didn't to turn in any papers doesn't mean she was on the short list. Come on. she was first lady. You think they need to know anything more about her? Besides Obama probably only called the people who were on the top 5 or 10 or so. He didn't lie. The media was the ones who hyped Clinton as the VP anyway, remember the week or so after he won the nomination? Dream Team was all over. That was the media, not Obama. We all need to just unite and come together as Democrats so we can assure that another Republican does not control our country anymore. It will take all of us to do this. This is an important time in our country. I am not trying to preach to the choir. But I do know that if John McCain becomes our next president, we will be in this same position in 4 years. If we are united that is the only way we can take back our country.

Obama needs to hit the send button on the text messages before the secret service shows up at Biden's house.

I still think it is a false leak to fool everyone.

No one is keeping an eye on Gov. Sebelius --- where is she and what is she doing?

This from CNN:

"(CNN) – Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama has ruled out Senator Hillary Clinton as his vice presidential running mate, a senior Democratic official told CNN on Friday night.

Clinton — Obama's main rival during the primary season — has been informed by Obama's campaign that she is not his choice to be his vice presidential candidate, the source said."

That makes it sound like Clinton was on the shortest of short lists...many were apparently notified before tonight.

Combine that with the other information you've heard and make of it what you will.

Hold the presses! Wonkette reports that Jack Reed has also just been given Secret Service protection:

So I'm back in the dark. The Secret Service wouldn't agree to be part of a decoy, I don't think. But a false leak about Secret Service protection is possible.

This is getting exciting. It may be Biden, but it may be the world's greatest head-fake.

ok im thinking. We all know how smart and wise the obama campaign is. What if this is all just a bunch of decoy? Honestly. Jack Reed now has secret service. They are waiting now until Saturday to announce his VP. I think they may be brewing up something surprising. They are doing such a fantastic job of keeping his VP on the Down low this far, I just don't see them actually being this unwise to release the secret service when he is so speculated to be #2. Plus they may have just came since all of these reporters are there, and he is having a family gathering.
