Georgia Senate Race is close

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

DailyKos just released their latest poll numbers for the Georgia Senate Special Election.

Research 2000 for Daily Kos. 11/10-12. Likely voters. MoE 4% (No special election trendlines)

Chambliss (R) 49
Martin (D) 46

We trail narrowly, but it's winnable. We had R2K poll the general election results, and they match up pretty well, (49-47 in the Senate, 52-47 in the presidential). Of course, the voter universe for the special will be different than that of the special.
And as Markos notes in his post the Obama Ohio field team is in Georgia to help Jim Martin.

The Martin for Senate Campaign is hitting Saxby Chambliss hard on his record:
For years, lawmakers have warned about the possibility of an economic crisis brought on by an impending housing crisis. But yesterday, Saxby Chambliss said, “this economic tsunami hit us all in the face, nobody was anticipating that.” Nobody was anticipating that? In 2006, John McCain signed a letter urging immediate action on legislation to regulate the housing market, but Saxby refused to sign on. In 2007, Barack Obama called for immediate reform to the mortgage industry, but Saxby refused to heed his call. And for years, Jim Martin has sounded the alarm on problems in the housing market, but Saxby did nothing.

Saxby, you can’t stand up for Georgia when your head is buried in the sand.

With Saxby Economics nothing changes.
