From MSNBC: The first results are in from Dixville Notch, NH
Obama - 15
McCain - 6

Excerpt from CNN:
Dixville Notch, an isolated village located in New Hampshire's northeast corner, will begin voting at the stroke of 12 a.m. Tuesday, and the ballots won't take long to tally: Dixville Notch only has about 20 registered voters.

I'm NOT waiting to exhale..... gonna watch the numbers roll in over happy hour, then on to the victory party for more generous imbibing of spirits, ...and a lozenge.

FYI.... HUGE spontaneous crowd cheering for Obama on the 4 corners of Orange Grove & Colorado Blvds. in Pasadena tonite--exactly where the Rose Parade makes its big turn on New Year's Day.

It looked and sounded JUST like the typical crowd on New Year's Eve! A beautiful sight, indeed...

My prediction map (with made-up margins for the close states):

Obama 349-189, just winning Missouri but just losing North Carolina and Indiana.

This is the sort of election I like.

With Obama well ahead in PA, and the NV/VA firewall firmly in place if he don't get it, I am feeling good.

But so many states will go down to the wire - and GOTV. This should be all the excitment and very little fear.

There are going to be a lot of happy people tonight who know that their State went blue, and it was their GOTV that made the difference.

I voted this morning. The line at my polling place in Urbana was wound all around the inside of the building, but it was about 35 minutes from the time I got there (06:30; polls in Illinois open at 06:00) until the time I was done. The judges were all very efficient. I was Accepted Ballot #100 at the ballot box for my polling place.

I LOVE my polling place! My wife & I were in & out in under 5 minutes (...we had come prepared with our completed sample ballots).

FYI, just a word to the masses: Prepare your answers, get in, get out, so more of us can vote, and we'll all thank you collectively!
