From the Martin for Senate Campaign:

K Street Fundraisers Launch Drive for Chambliss
According to the National Journal, leading Washington lobbyists have recently launched a fundraising drive for Saxby Chambliss's struggling re-election campaign. Throughout his career, Chambliss has taken over $5.6 million from special interests- and as recently as last week, Chambliss said, "Do I Have Fundraisers and Invite Lobbyists? Sure I Do. And I Raise Money."

"Special interests know they have a reliable ally in Saxby Chambliss and don't want to lose their champion," Martin spokesperson Kate Hansen said. "While Saxby looks to his special interest buddies to bail him out, Jim Martin continues to campaign on a message of change and making our economy work for middle class Georgians again."

Chambliss Has Taken Over $5.6 Million From Special Interest Money. The Center for Responsive Politics reports that Chambliss has taken $5,690,987 from special interest PACs during his career. [Center for Responsive Politics] A veteran
and church elder, Martin served with distinction for nearly two decades in the Georgia House of Representatives. Martin later led the Department of Human Resources under Gov. Roy Barnes and Gov. Sonny Perdue. He and Joan, his wife of 38 years, have four children and three grandchildren. He is running for Senate to continue his long record of standing up for Georgia families, and to fight for change in Washington.
