Election & Convention Notes...

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

  • Jesse Ventura will announce on Larry King tonight if he's running for the US Senate against Al Franken and Norm Coleman.

  • UPDATE: He's not running

  • Barack Obama may vacation in Hawaii before the Convention.

  • Usher will reportedly sing at (or near) the Convention.

  • The Society of Leisure Enthusiasts is giving Colorado residents a $50 gas card and 10% accommodations discount to "Escape to the Mountains" during the convention.

  • The Obama Campaign will open 4 Colorado offices tomorrow afternoon. The offices are in Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Boulder.

Let's see.... when McCain spends time on his ranch in Arizona EVERY weekend that is NOT called a vacation. But when Obama plans to go HOME to visit his sister, grandmother, and his grandfather's grave it it considered a vacation! Btw, Obama's grandmother still lives in the same apartment that she lived in when Obama lived with her while he was growing up. That is GOING HOME in my book.
