Republican Seating Chart

Unlike the Democratic National Convention, almost all of the Republican delegates will be on the floor.

Both arenas have about the same size floors. So what's the difference? Republicans have about half as many delegates but many more alternates.
Millions of people around the world will be watching as the Republican Party convenes its 39th nominating convention in Minneapolis-Saint Paul. The roughly 2,380 delegates and 2,227 alternate delegates elected to represent their states and territories will play a critical role in our nation’s democratic process – and secure a place in political history. - RNC
Democrats in Denver had about 4440 delegates and just over 600 alternates.
