Tuesday Morning Round-Up

WE'VE MOVED! Democratic Convention Watch is now at http://www.DemocraticConventionWatch.com

I have looked around, and can find no MSM information on Ron Paul's goings-on yesterday. Sure, it was a very busy news day, but there was nothing. Since the "real" program is today, perhaps I'll have something later on. The Washington Post has some questions about who wrote Ron Paul's latest book.

Over at the Xcel Center, as attendees arrive, they get to see the following billboard right across the street:

That's because:

St. Paul's main homeless shelter will be temporarily expanding its services and facilities downtown during the Republican National Convention. The Dorothy Day Center sits right across the street from the Xcel Energy Center, and Catholic Charities hopes it will put the issue of homelessness on a national stage.
It will be interesting to see if there is any mention of homelessness, or if the GOP keeps it's issue watch to personal problems related to the hurricanes. Not trying to take anything from a natural disaster, but there are some people who are homeless in the best of times, and since some are living in a shelter across the street, perhaps the GOP will spare some of its fund raising machine for them...
